It was through a date with Reese’s friend that Erika met her husband-to-be – she claims it was her order of a “Bud Heavy” at breakfast that truly impressed him. Eight wonderful years later, Erika and Reese found themselves planning a wedding that was so uniquely ‘them.’ Their vision for their special Seattle wedding day was one of a warm and welcoming extended dinner party, incorporating their three favorite things: good food, good music, and good friends.

From the welcome with glasses of rosé to the elegant oyster bar, Erika and Reese created an atmosphere where their wedding guests would feel spoiled and could comfortably linger with plenty to snack on and drink. With the glowing lights of downtown Seattle as their backdrop, the couple and their guests danced the night away into the early hours of the morning.

We just love how fresh and organic everything about their wedding day felt. The beautiful and lush greenery throughout the ceremony and reception, the rich green and floral dresses that bridesmaids completely rocked, and the pops of floral in the men’s attire that tied everything together. We love the style and details that Taylor’d Events Group pulled together, and we are thrilled to share these images captured by Matthew Land Photography!

We love that Erika shared a few little thoughts with us regarding her wedding day. Although she admits that she isn’t the type to have planned her wedding for years, she and her new husband found themselves blown away by the celebration. The feeling of seeing all of their loved ones together in a city they called their own was overwhelming. “I will always remember the perfectness of the day that came unexpectedly,” shares Erika. “Definitely don’t stress. What comes together (with all of the blemishes, missing tables, guests that show up uninvited) is perfect. Do what you want, not what anyone else recommends,” she encourages.

With a bold color palette of deep reds and soft airy blues, Danielle and Chris’ Central Florida wedding came together in the most beautiful way. The rich textures, classic details, and historic charm that carried throughout the day were no match for the infectious smiles that radiated from this couple throughout their day.

With a love story that started in college and took them to the west coast, these two chose to celebrate their vows in Winter Park, Florida at the historic Casa Feliz. The venue itself offered so much charm and inspiration that accented their overall style perfectly. With carefully curated details that were executed so beautifully by At Last Wedding + Event Design and stunning imagery captured by Nate + Lori, we cannot get enough of the elegance and joy that came from Danielle and Chris’ wedding day.

Special bonus on this Monday as Danielle has shared some behind the scenes from their gorgeous Central Florida celebration!

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Throughout the planning process, my husband Chris was extremely helpful and took on tasks without whining. My day of coordinator Jaclyn Fraser of At Last Weddings was by my side the whole way and helped us ensure everything went off without a hitch.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

During the initial booking phase, it was so important that our personalities clicked and that each person was able to share our vision with us. Every vendor we booked were passionate about what they did and shared our enthusiasm.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

Our inspiration was drawn from our venue, Casa Feliz. The red brick and egg blue shutters offered a dramatic and picturesque backdrop for our wedding, so I knew every other detail had to be just as unique. I found a palette that one of my bridesmaids coined as a “comforting fall palette” with shades of midnight blue, dusty blue, and cranberry. It blended so perfectly with the stunning aesthetics of Casa Feliz, and while there weren’t many examples of this palette online, it was beyond fun to create my own version of it.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

My favorite part of our wedding was the exchanging of our vows in front of all of our family and friends. It was a very raw moment for us to share and had such personal anecdotes that made everyone laugh and cry.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Don’t worry about sticking to what’s traditional when planning a wedding. It’s way more fun and rewarding to create your own traditions, from writing your own ceremony script to asking your Maid of Honor to perform your first dance song. The more personal, the better.

Oh, and before we go, how fun are those custom light sticks that the guests sent these two off with at the end of the evening? Such a fun alternative to a send-off, and what a way to end an incredible evening of celebration!

We love these words that Danielle shared with us, and between the inspired design and personal details the wove throughout the day, they truly created a day so incredibly special to them.

Jason and Deanna’s classic vineyard wedding was full of bold purple and berry tones and an immense amount of joy and laughter. From the intimate glances to the incredible party TréCreative Film&Photo captured so much fun and beauty throughout the day, and we are so excited to share this wedding with you.

We love when we can clearly see a bride and groom that are so full of joy on their wedding day, and this is evident in every image captured of this couple. From Deanna’s beaming smile as she walked down the aisle to meet her groom to the joyful embrace her dad gave Jason at the altar to the excitement that they exuded as the celebrated down the aisle after exchanging their vows. Just from these small moments, we knew we would be in for a treat as they entered the reception. A fun surprise that this bride orchestrated for her groom was a flash mob complete with a choreographed dance, and it is clear that Jason was in total shock as he watched his bride and friends before him. Just wait until you see it!

We love the sweet details and beautiful bold colors that created a lovely design for their day, but it is really their joy and love that stole the show!

Nestled among the miles of strawberry fields in Central Florida, Chris and Raina chose to exchange their vows with a romantic rustic Florida barn wedding at Cross Creek Ranch. Florida natives that now reside in NYC, this bride and groom found a sweet escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, and it was the perfect place for them to celebrate the start to their marriage among family and friends.

With soft blush and white tones accented with the lush greenery and blooms, this couple chose a simplistic style that highlighted the natural beauty of their surroundings. We love that they chose to utilize the rich barn beams in their reception to hang large greenery wreaths over some of the tables to create high and low elements that soften the space and provide a romantic garden feel.

Kt Crabb Photography captured the utter joy and beauty of the day, and we are thrilled that Raina chose to share some of the details behind the planning that made their day so perfect! We hope you enjoy!

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Pinterest was key in terms of finding inspiration for the look and feel I was after. In terms of actual planning though, my mom and my sisters were instrumental in the process. Every time I wanted a second opinion, they were there to help out for which I’m eternally grateful. On the wedding day, I was fortunate to have a day-of coordinator and bridal assistant, provided by my venue, who ensured everything was running on schedule! As a Type A bride, having people I could rely on to make sure it was a smooth day was amazing.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

The most important thing was proven quality of work, followed immediately by cost.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

After years of perusing Pinterest, wedding magazine and blogs, I knew exactly how I wanted my wedding to look. I wanted a rustic, outdoorsy venue that I could elevate with elegant design – Chivari chairs, floral wreaths, romantic lighting, etc.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

Besides getting to marry my best friend and having the best day of my life? I’d say the overall look/feel of the wedding. My vendors did a great job bringing my vision to life and creating a true celebratory atmosphere for my family and friends.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Trust yourself! There’s so much stress and pressure that gets put on the bride for weddings, but at the end of the day, it’s YOUR wedding (and your spouse’s) and everyone else should just consider themselves lucky to be invited. So spend money on the things that mean most to you, put effort into the details that you care most about, and know that the decisions you make along the way are right for you. I spent a lot of time in the weeks leading up to the wedding second-guessing everything from the ceremony songs to the signature cocktails to my entire color palette and at the end of the day, everything we had chosen was absolutely perfect for us.

What great insight for future brides! We just love how these two celebrated their special day, and the simple details that made this rustic space just a little more feminine and romantic. From the bride’s style (and her adorable Kate Spade Keds) to the details scattered throughout the day, their simple and classic style was spot on.
