You may or may not know that here at ELD, we love when weddings have themes! When done with intention and in partnership with professionals, they always turn out absolutely on point. So when these chemistry inspired wedding ideas popped in my inbox, I not only jumped for joy, but as a former science major, I got a bit sentimental too! With an objective to express the bond equating chemistry with true love, Runway Events created a wedding design that not only does that, but is absolutely gorgeous too. Lucky for us, The Hons were there to capture all of the details- from microscope slide seating charts and elements, to beakers and test tubes!

From Rebekkah of Runway Events:

The gorgeous wooden beams, intricate architecture and acquisitive woodland of The Atlantic Art Center influenced this science themed styled shoot “You + Me = Chemistry”. With a flush, neutral color palette energized by nature and creativity, this shoot was formed around many molecular details such as microscope slide seating charts, vintage vessels, beakers, periodic table numbers, herbs and succulents and a ceremony backdrop formulated with test tubes. Ranunculus, garden roses and football mums are just some of the floral that accompanied the greenery of the extravagant bouquet and centerpieces as they laid against white washed wood farm table. Of course, we can’t forget the sweet side of science with an incredible candy bar filled with caramel popcorn, chocolates and other delectable treats as well as a cake stimulated by chemical structure. We wanted to capture dimension and texture of organic nature by using varieties of wood and greens and highlight the artwork displayed in the gallery. Our objective was to express the bond equating chemistry with true love and inspire couples to use their own uniqueness and character in their own wedding visions.

I definitely hope this does inspire you to use your own unique story to create your wedding design! After all- it’s what will make your wedding truly unique… just like how different combinations of bonds create different chemicals (sorry, science analogy- I had to)!

So tell me- if you could do any kind of theme for your own wedding, what would it be? I’d love to hear!

Unlike many of the larger celebrations we feature on Every Last Detail, today’s wedding is an elopement! Ashli and Michael celebrated their nuptials in front of a small group of family and friends on Amelia Island at Elizabeth Pointe Lodge. Rather than just doing a first look, the duo spent time together soaking in their final moments before their wedding ceremony by enjoying the sweetest bohemian picnic on the beach (y’all, there’s a tent!). Post ceremony, everyone gathered at one of the couple’s favorite local restaurants.

We’re oh-so-excited to share V List Member Megan Martin Creative’s gorgeous planning and styling, plus you can’t say we didn’t warn you about the flowers. V List Member Shea Hopely designed a flower crown, bouquet, and much, much more, and each piece is even prettier than the last. Just wait until you see all of the details captured by Julie Paisley Photography!

I don’t know about you, but I am LOVING the way these two decided to do their elopement! Such a wonderful alternative to the common notion of eloping that you have to “run away” and not include your closest friends and family to celebrate your marriage.

How about you? Would you ever consider doing an intimate elopement like this couple did?

This couple’s vintage elegant Oxford Exchange wedding is absolutely stunning and filled with so much love. There are certain venues that I would like to move into and call home- one of them is Tampa’s Oxford Exchange. Every space inside seems like it’s magical, and today’s wedding absolutely proves that notion just might be true. Sunglow Photography notes, “The day was exquisite and felt much more like an elegant dinner party than a wedding.” Tables surrounded a beautiful fountain, candles and crisp white florals served as centerpieces, and bridesmaids were dressed in gold sequined gowns. This beautiful Tampa wedding was expertly design and planned by Sarah of One Fine Day, and I don’t think I’ll ever tire of it- neither will you!

I just love all of the candlelight throughout the whole evening. I can’t help but feel the wedding day was, in fact, a glamorous dinner party that also included a meaningful ceremony, dancing, and a perfectly on point classic car exit!

So tell me- would you consider having a wedding that has more of a “dinner party” feel to it? I know I would!

Erena and Jesse’s beautiful farm wedding took place at Erena’s family farm where she has vacationed for years with her family. A growth chart filled with heights from years past served as a backdrop as Erena slipped into her gown, and I love that both families joined Erena and Jesse underneath their ceremony arbor for a prayer. A white color palette allowed for all of the garden-inspired florals to take center stage, and wait until you see the couple’s cake- complete with peonies! Today’s wedding is simple in the most beautiful way, and I’m so grateful Laura Yang Photography was on hand to fall in love with the wedding industry all over again while capturing such a meaningful wedding day.

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

My mother was the person that helped me the most. My mother runs an event decor business. She planned the wedding.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

Since my family owns a decorating business and my mother is wonderful at customer service. The most important thing for us was finding a vendor for the food that was personable and excellent in customer service. When looking for a rental tent the most important thing for us was asking questions of their cleaning process for their tents. Choosing a photographer was very important since we decided not to have a videographer we chose to invest in our pictures. The one thing we really loved about Laura Yang Photography was that she was so organized with her timeline and got amazing pictures without being in the middle or at the front of everything.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

My inspiration was my location. Our wedding was at our families old farmhouse nestled in the blue ridge mountains of VA. I grew up going there every year in summer for vacation and every winter to Christmas tree shop. It has alway been a place where our family has been able to rest, relax, and connect with God. Our farmhouse has always been a place where there is peace and stillness. I wanted our wedding to be very peaceful, glorifying God, and enjoying for our guests

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

I have tons!

Tea time instead of appetizers

Live music while I walked down the aisle

MY FLOWERS!!!!!!!

Dancing to the blue grass band with my nieces and nephews.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Don’t stress the day of your wedding. Of course stress is inevitable before the big day but when you actually get to that day don’t worry just be present with your groom and guests.
