Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! In case you haven’t noticed, ELD has been filled with Valentine’s-inspired shades of pink and red all week to celebrate this week of love. We’re continuing the celebration today in the most glamorous way with some pink and red wedding ideas from Kimberly Photography and FH Weddings! Planned by All That Shines Event Planning and featuring linens by Kate Ryan Linens, this shoot is filled with sparkle, romance, and glam and is absolutely gorgeous!

Pretty stunning isn’t it? I needed some sparkle in my life this week, and this surely did the trick!

Rustic, chic, and absolutely stunning, this red and white wedding inspiration from Cassandra Photo is the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Filled with beautiful details fit for a wedding, this also doubles as fabulous inspiration for an intimate dinner for two- which in my eyes is the best kind of Valentine’s Day date. Of course it also helps that everything was gorgeously put together by Natural Beauties Floral and took place within an actual Christmas tree farm… it’s pure amazingness!

Stunning isn’t it? I love the natural, earthy elements paired with a chic style. And the unique location of a tree farm? So amazing!

My goodness, this eco-friendly farm wedding from Sarah Der Photography is just overflowing with love and happiness- you are going to love it! Helen and Bill wanted a down-to-earth, locally sourced wedding, and Asheville, North Carolina was the absolute perfect setting.

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

My wonderful husband. It was a true team effort! We had the groom’s to do list, the bride’s to do list, and the together to do list :) The days leading up to the wedding were “all hands on deck.” Our families and closest friends spent the two days before the wedding at the farm venue setting up with us.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

We wanted to pick experienced vendors who were willing to give us the freedom to plan the day to our liking, while providing expert assistance and guidance where helpful.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

Helen works on sustainable agricultural advocacy and Bill works on environmental protection causes, so we wanted our entire wedding to convey an down-to-earth, eco-friendly farm experience. We were especially proud of the locally sourced food, beer, and flowers!

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

Committing ourselves to each other before our favorite people on a beautiful sunny day at an amazing farm with baby goats, lawn games, good food, and dancing. Just what we had always envisioned!

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Even if you cannot afford or don’t want to hire a wedding planner, do hire a day-of-coordinator. Our wonderful day-of coordinator ensured that the entire day flowed smoothly and that no special moments were missed and was critical to the flawlessness of our wedding day!

Absolutely amazing advice from Helen! It’s so worth it to not have to worry about anything on your wedding day, don’t you think?

I love how simply gorgeous this navy and pink wedding from Aislinn Kate Photography is! With Sara Gillianne Weddings planning their big day, Brooke and Mike’s wedding was a perfect balance of elegance, romance, and fun! Brooke is here today to share her insight with us…

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Overall, my wedding planner, Sara Gilliane, worked diligently to know my wedding style and taste to every last detail. Which helped with organizing which vendors to chose for the big day! I had to plan my wedding while interning in Dublin, Ireland, so having her to help with organization and making everything perfect, was wonderful! Being a bride, can be nerve racking, however, with her by my side, I felt at ease and had full trust everything would be amazing.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

For the big day, I wanted to count of vendors, who were amazing in their area and I felt a great level of comfort. Also, vendors who went the extra mile to work with me. I knew Hayward McKenize, would be a must for the caterer when he sent me multiple menus to look over based on our wedding criteria. He was such a genuine and amazing chef. Also, having Aislinn Kate as a photographer, she is very detail-oriented, patient, and truly loves to know the bride’s style so she can capture the perfect wedding day.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

When designing for our wedding, I knew I loved elegance and romance, but I also wanted to make sure to incorporate a laid back atmosphere. Finding, one style was difficult, since I knew I liked so many things. So, I tried a combination of elegance, romance, fun-filled, and vintage.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

It is hard to pick just one. I would say, walking into the reception and also doing photos with my husband. Having a wedding planner, she made sure we could have a moment alone, in World of Beer, before heading to the reception, and it was incredible. I loved everything about the reception down to every last detail. It is a wonderful feeling to walk into your reception seeing everything you wanted and more.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

The best piece of advice, is to trust your instincts on the style and location of your wedding. There may be friends or family who may try to direct your taste with suggestions and ideas. However, it is important to be true to yourself and follow what your heart desires. Surround yourself with people who will want to make sure your big day, is everything you dreamed of.

I love Brooke’s advice and all of her insight. It really does help having a wedding planner, especially when you’re planning from afar- and you can certainly see that from this fabulous wedding!
