A Colorful Rustic & Elegant Texas Wedding

Wanting a laid back and relaxed Texas wedding, today’s couple, Jackie and Ben, chose to have a rustic and elegant style for their beautiful wedding. Pairing it with an eclectic color palette of pinks, purples, greens, and yellows added a bit of fun to everything, and Caroline + Ben Photography were there to capture all of it! Jackie is here with us today sharing a bit more about her planning process and wedding day…

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

My step-mother: Malee Helm of course and then my wedding planners were AMAZING and I could not have done it without them: Mathes and Co. Events – based out of Dallas. They did everything for me and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. And then of course all my family and friends who attended helped to make the day that much more special!

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

I personally knew my wedding planner so it was a given for me to work with her/them. But I would say def someone you can trust and who is organized and communicates well. Mathes and Co. were always SPOT ON when doing any research and responded to me right away with any questions I had. They were also SUPER organized and I think that was amazing.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

We just wanted a wedding where people could come and relax and really enjoy themselves for the weekend. That’s why we chose the Lost Pines Hyatt Resort in Austin, TX. Something rustic but elegant. Lost Pines provided the best setting and my wedding planners/step mother created the ambiance. I really just had to show up in my dress! It was amazing!!

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

Getting to spend an amazing weekend relaxing and celebrating with the most important people in my life. And of course getting to marry my best friend =o)

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

DO NOT STRESS!! Over ANYTHING! Everything will work out and if something goes wrong – it’s not the end of the world. I was probably the most laid back bride ever. I don’t understand those who stress and get all worked up over the wedding details. The day and what you’re doing and what it all represents is the most important thing. So, I would say focus on that other than flowers, tables, dresses, etc. As long as I had my friends/family, food, drinks, music and laughter – that was all I needed to make my day special!

I love Jackie’s reminder to focus on your wedding day and what it represents! I also love how all of their centerpieces were different colors… it’s a simple and fun way to infuse color without going too overboard.

Classic Pink and White Romantic Wedding

Erin and Austin wanted a simple and romantic wedding that was all about family and love. A soft pink and white color palette, succulent details, and classic style, created a wedding that was perfect for them, and lucky for us, Bumby Photography was there to capture it all! Erin is here with us today to share all about it…

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

We hired Weddings Inc. out of Orlando to help with the planning. We live in another state so this was considered a destination wedding for us. The planners already had a list of vendors that we could choose from and they handled everything the day of. It was so stress free and we were able to enjoy ourselves all day. My in-laws live in DeLand, which is where Austin grew up, and they helped tremendously with the wedding, parties, and rehearsal. It all came together so nicely.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

Weddings can be very expensive, but they don’t have to be if you do your research. We researched venues, coordinators, decor, everything … and we chose the ones that worked the best with our budget. We also had to decide which aspects of the wedding were the most important and what we were willing to splurge on.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

I wanted a clean, fresh, and light wedding. I really like succulents so I looked on pinterest, blogs, and magazines to pull inspirations from. It was all so much fun!

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

Marrying the man of my dreams of course! I have many favorites: taking communion with my husband, hugging my son right after we were announced husband and wife, and looking around the reception to see everyone laughing and dancing… just to name a few.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

1. Plan with your fiance’ because it’s his special day too. He needs to be represented and honored in the celebration as well. Then allow him to take some of the items off your task list. :)

2. Don’t get stressed out about the tiniest of details. More than likely your guests won’t even notice what color of ribbon you used in that one flower arrangement on that one table. haha

3. If you can manage it, I highly recommend hiring a planner/wedding coordinator.

4. Pick a great photographer like we did. The decor, cake, dresses, etc. won’t last forever, but the pictures will. You’ll want the day to be captured by a professional.

The natural elegance of a garden wedding paired with a modern, glamorous style make for a wedding that is absolutely breathtaking! High Five For Love Photography captured this Tennessee wedding flawlessly- after all, with a champagne and mint color palette, a couple that is SO incredibly in love, and an amazingly chic wedding design, you really can’t go wrong. The stunning bride, Danielle, is here with us today sharing more about her wedding…

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Having a team of support throughout the entire process was crucial. I only worked with vendors that I had recommended to me from people I trust and that I knew could help me bring my vision to life. Big Events Inc. was a huge part of the planning process. They helped me select vendors that could fulfill my design ideas and were there to complete my dream from set up to tear down.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

A personalized plan for each an every aspect of the day was very important to me. I had some very specific ideas about how I wanted everything to come together and I only worked with people who could understand my aesthetic. It’s also very important to get a great recommendation from someone you trust.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

I wanted a light, ethereal environment that was very natural and clean. I was inspired by the classic garden wedding with a more modern application.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

The venue! I had the incredible opportunity to build a venue around the home I grew up in and to create such a personal day in a place that means so much is an incredible feeling. That’s what I will always cherish the most.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Do what makes you happy. You can’t get caught up in what you think other people will like. Form an idea of how you want your day to feel and stick to that from the beginning. You know deep down what will make it memorable for you and at the end of the day it is about the person you have chosen to spend your life with…as long as you are both happy that’s what counts.

Danielle’s advice is absolutely spot on- you have to do what what YOU want and what will make you happy! And I love that Danielle and Tyler were able to have their wedding at Danielle’s childhood home! What a perfect location!

Inspired by the glitz and glam of the 1920s, Amber of Beachside Ceremonies wanted to show how even a beach wedding could be chic and glamorous, and she did just that…
