Whether you have been married for one year or 50, I strongly believe your anniversary should be celebrated always. When today’s vow renewal landed in my inbox, I was especially excited! Lorraine and Jason invited 30 of their closest friends and family to celebrate their 10-year wedding anniversary with them in Nova Scotia. Rather than throwing a single bash, their fun lasted all weekend and their post vow renewal brunch may just be my favorite part!

The pair were inspired by “Alice in Wonderland”, so they carefully planned a vintage brunch. Soft blush and ivory florals by Chelsea Lee Flowers served as centerpieces, vintage details were carefully placed throughout the private residence, and delicious desserts awaited guests. The Dr. & Mrs. signs and “still spooning 10 years” dessert spoons are two of my favorite details! Fun fact: they reused many of the details from their anniversary bash the night before. Your details and flowers are still alive, friends- use them again. : )

There are so many sweet photos below from Candace Berry Photography, so make sure to take a peek!

Shawna and Kenneth’s Palm Springs wedding at The Parker exudes romance, elegance, and so much love. Making sure to complement the unique style of The Parker, they utilized the beautiful property perfectly. The evening started with an al fresco dinner on the lawn, accented with chandeliers and bistro lights, followed by a reception in the ballroom, complete with a fabulous bar, lounge furniture, and of course dancing! Shades of blush and champagne all throughout the day complemented the property beautifully, and the dusty blue bridesmaid dresses were a perfect added pop to the neutral tones. Brett Hickman Photographers captured everything from the day, and we can’t wait for you to see it all and hear from Shawna about her wedding planning experience! What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

My wedding coordinator, Annette Hoegner, was a lifesaver and made sure the day went smoothly. She also put me in touch with several of my vendors. A longtime family friend, Dan Vazquez, designed a large part of the dinner reception as well as the ballroom reception. He took our vision and made it a reality. My dad also had a lot to do with the wedding planning, as did my mom, my stepmom, and my sister.

Since Kenneth and I were planning the wedding from across the country, we needed to work with someone local and with a lot of experience. Annette and Dan fit that bill.

We wanted a romantic wedding, but also wanted to fit the unique style of the Parker and Palm Springs as well. The Parker has a personality of its own, so we definitely wanted to highlight it.

The fact that all of our friends and family traveled from all over the country to spend not only the day with us, but the whole weekend with us, was definitely the best part of our wedding. A large group of our friends even stayed to spend the day after the wedding with us at the pool since that was the first time all weekend that Kenneth and I had no other obligations. It was a very memorable few days for everyone!

If you’re getting married in the Fall or Winter, you likely chose your wedding date with the crisp, cool temperature in mind. However, many brides getting married in these cooler months tend to also forget an important accessory- a wrap or topper to keep you warm!

Getting Married In The Fall or Winter? Dont Forget This Accessory! via TheELD.com

While staying warm might be the last thing on your mind right this second, you definitely need to be thinking about your accessories now, so as to avoid the extra stress (and cost) involved with having to get something at the last minute. We’ve partnered with our favorite wedding store, BHLDN, to share a few gorgeous cold weather wraps and toppers that will keep you fashionable and warm on your wedding.

So if you’re getting married in the Fall or Winter, head over to BHLDN and start thinking about a wrap or a topper NOW! I know what you’re thinking- but I won’t be cold, I don’t need something like that. But believe me- I’ve planned a wedding or two (or three or five) in the cold months- it’s no fun when the bride is under a blanket instead of on the dance floor!

Chic, feminine style, industrial elements, and wanderlust all played a beautiful part in making these marble inspired wedding ideas come to life. I myself was incredibly inspired by concrete and marble mixed with feminine elements, and when I told Adair of Dairing Events, she too was instantly inspired, and we got started in bringing our inspiration to life. Shades of white and gray combined with the palest tone of blush created a chic style, and gorgeous florals by Shea Hopely added a softness that can only be achieved through flowers. Vintage pieces from Southern Charm Events created the most beautiful vignette, and a classically elegant stationery suite by Olivia Grace Paperie was absolute perfection. Everything was captured by Sarahdipity Photos, and we cannot wait for you to take in all of the gorgeous inspiration!

From Adair of Dairing Events:

Caroline and Brad are a real life Dairing Couple. They were so sweet to help me tell the story behind this styled shoot featured today.

While we are forecasting trends for 2017 Weddings, we have started to see a reigniting of elopements! So many couples are now opting out of the large affairs and planning smaller, more intimate, celebrations of their love. In this styled shoot, we joined a couple’s love for travel with their love for each other. Imagine this — heading to the airport and hopping on the next flight leaving, hand in hand with the person you want to spend your forever with and your best friend by your side to act as witness to the vows. It’s a beautiful thing. I was totally inspired by the quote that you will see throughout the shoot, “Home is not where you are from, it is where you belong. Some of us travel the whole world to find it, others find it in a person.” It speaks to all of us who have found love.

The Prime Osborn Convention Center in Downtown Jacksonville was the perfect backdrop to our story, with the gorgeous marble columns and walls, and an incredible history! It was originally Jacksonville’s first Train Terminal, built in 1919.

Our other inspiration behind the shoot was showing how you can take concrete and marble and make those more industrial elements work in a feminine way. Our fashionista bride loves the soft mixed with the edgy, so pairing her gorgeous lace gown from M Couture Bridal with a black leather jacket was the perfect touch.

Marble is popular trending element, and we love how the swirling grays, whites, and silvers can really enhance your color palette no matter what other tones you choose. Of course, we love rose gold and copper, and coming into the Fall we are going to see a lot more of those metallic shades.

All of the jewelry was custom designed by Corrie McCoy Jewelry specifically for our shoot! Each piece was designed to act as a statement piece for a bouquet and then at the reception, to be worn as a necklace! It’s the perfect Bridesmaid gift!
