Y’all, we simply adore Amalie Orrange Photography, so when today’s Orlando wedding landed in our inbox, we were nothing short of elated. Just like us, the bride and groom placed great value in finding a fantastic photographer and videographer, and it’s safe to say Amalie did not disappoint with her gorgeous aesthetic!
Alexandra and Sam knew they wanted to celebrate with their family and friends in Orlando; however, they had one small caveat: they planned their wedding from afar. They kindly asked vendors to meet with Alexandra’s mom and aunt, and their professionals graciously met with the couple when they were in town. Together the team created a gorgeously romantic wedding day at the Country Club of Orlando. The soiree featured a neutral palette of gold, champagne, ivory, and sweet touches of blush. You’re sure to adore the florals by Lee James Floral Design, and we’re so happy Brandee from Blush by Brandee Gaar planned every detail effortlessly. We so hope you love taking a peek at Alexandra and Sam’s wedding day below!
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
We were very lucky to have a lot of help with planning because we really needed all the help we could get. The wedding was in my hometown and we didn’t live there at the time, so our moms and my aunt jumped in and were a HUGE help from start to finish. We found an amazing wedding planner that helped us every step of the way. She kept us on track and had connections with vendors in town that really fit our style which helped us pull together a ‘dream team’. On the wedding day, she took care of every detail and kept things running behind the scenes which allowed us to relax and really enjoy the day.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
When we were deciding who to work with, one of the most important things to us was flexibility. Since we were planning from out of town, we were limited as to how and when we could meet with people. It was important to me that they were okay meeting with my mom instead of me, or could work with me over the phone or via email. I really wanted to be able to meet face-to-face when possible and luckily most of our team took the time to fit us into their busy weekend schedules when we were in town.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
The inspiration for our design came from our personal style and our venues, we wanted our wedding to be classic and elegant. Our venues were pretty traditional so we wanted to complement that in our details, we chose a neutral color scheme of gold, champagne, and ivory with touches of blush. We had candles on all of the tables which added a romantic element to the reception. Our florist blew us away with our head table design, we had seen a sketch but didn’t know exactly what to expect, it was stunning with a bit of an old-Hollywood glam look.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
We both love music and were so excited when we found a great band for the reception. They sounded amazing and kept everyone on the dance floor. All of our guests had so much fun and could not say enough good things about the band.
Another favorite thing was getting to see all of our family, we both have fairly big families that live all over the country so it was really special to have everyone together.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
Find a good photographer and videographer that have a style you like, look through their galleries and meet with them or schedule a session beforehand so you are all comfortable together. The day goes by so fast, there are things you will miss or forget, and this is how you will remember it for years to come. We were so lucky to have a great team that worked well together and captured our day beautifully.
