McKenzie and Cameron met at a lung cancer benefit in San Francisco, and they found themselves talking to each other for the entire night. As McKenzie says, they were inseparable after that night! Three years later, during a trip to London, Cameron proposed with a vintage diamond ring over afternoon tea in London. After walking the grounds at Twisted Oak Ranch in Napa, a property that has been in Cameron’s family for nearly 70 years, they knew they had found their venue.
M+C were inspired by their venue, its trees, and books in which the most telling moments happen in a forest. Vintage stories became their main theme (I love their library card inspired ceremony program!), and they incorporated them into their table numbers and quotes used throughout the space. McKenzie’s uncle performed their ceremony (she and Cameron wrote the majority of it themselves!), she wore a beautiful custom Modern Trousseau ball gown (gorgeous y’all!), Beau Fleur’s floral arrangements were rustic and whimsical, and the pair joined their guests for dinner and dancing amongst the beautiful vineyards on the property.
