Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

When I saw the colorful Thanksgiving decor that my friend Megan Martin Creative created, I knew I just had to share it here on ELD! It’s amazing what a little spray paint and a few mini pumpkins can create! A color palette of pink, navy, light blue, and green adds a fun twist to fall decor, and I for one am IN LOVE!

Here’s to a happy, thankful day, filled with lots of color!

We love each and every gorgeous day that Michelle Garibay Events creates, and today’s California wedding is one for the books! Katie and Jason’s picturesque venue, Los Willows, was transformed with the help of Michelle, bringing in various elements to achieve a romantic and glamorous wedding day. Lush florals in shades of blush and white, pink and gold chargers, and stunning lace table linens were just a few of the standout details in this elegant design.

Katie and Jason are both athletes, and their romantic day combined Katie’s elegant side and their love for sports in the most beautiful of ways. Football was a common thread in all of the details, as Jason is the kicker for the Jacksonville Jaguars- even the dessert bar had football rice krispy treats! We love how Leah Marie Photography captured the day, and we can’t wait for you to be as inspired as we are!

Tell us a little a bit about your wedding.

Blush, gold, neutrals. It was a very romantic feeling with emphasis on gorgeous flowers, and some glam. The reception area was to die for. Our charger plates were a focal point with some sparkly linens, farmtables, mercury candles and rose gold silverware. The venue really complimented the vision of the glam, romantic and rustic vibe we were going for.

What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?

We kept saying we would save on other parts of the wedding and it never happened! It was hard to say nothing was a priority. We splurged on an open bar, live band, the florals and everything in between. The only item would have maybe been our cake. We decided on a small cake and a dessert bar instead of a large expensive cake.

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?

I would say to go with your gut. Things start getting really stressful when you start second guessing yourself. In the end my gut feeling was right and wish I would have gone with it. You and your husband know each other best so stay true to that and remember it’s about you two and not what everyone else wants.

We can’t get over all of the stunning florals! And how amazing are the linens used all throughout the day?! Such a stunning romantic California wedding- congrats to Katie and Jason!

The chic setting of Howl created an elegant backdrop to showcase the beautiful smoky quartz and marble inspired design of this industrial wedding inspiration created and captured by Katie Jane Photography.

The wood, brick, and cement of the space offered rugged elements that were softened by airy windows, bringing in streams of light that cast a romantic glow throughout. We absolutely love the outdoor courtyard that they styled for the ceremony space. The tall cement wall served as a blank canvas backdrop for the alter of greenery and vines created by Hello Honey Flower Co.. An ombre bouquet and flowing Hayley Paige gown from La Soie Bridal created a beautiful bridal look that paired perfectly with the classic black tux that the groom wore.

We love how P.S. & Associates Event Planning pulled the full look together impeccably. From the simple ceremony design, to place settings from Dish Wish that wowed the reception set-up, this modern combination of styles created an elegant twist in this industrial space that we think you’re going to love!

We are always a fan of combo styles that mix distinct wedding looks and create a beautifully cohesive look that balances the design. With a mix of modern elegance and industrial features, this look was a fun way to create a unique style in this space.

A wedding celebration rich in culture and an elegant rustic style created a beautiful and unique California wedding day for Lauren and Anthony as they shared so many special moments with family and friends.

We are excited for you to dive into the incredible details that made their day truly stand out. You will quickly see that their planner, Harutyunyan Events, was an integral part in perfectly combining two cultures equally as they shared in one special wedding. From the soft and romantic images captured by Anya Kernes Photography to the beautiful florals created by A Touch of Lavender, we love how each detail from Lauren and Anthony’s Rancho Las Lomas wedding created the perfect balance with how their wedding day came together.

This lovely bride, Lauren, shares here favorite moments, and a little advice, and we hope you love their day as much as we do!

From the bride:

“If I could get married to the same man a million times over again, I would. Our wedding was the best party we’ve ever thrown. From the second he proposed (let’s be honest, way before), I starting pinning everything gold, rose gold, pink, and white. Those four colors together screamed romantic to me, which is what I wanted our day to revolve around, our romance.
When it came to looking for a venue, the second I stepped foot in Rancho Las Lomas, I knew nothing else would compare. Since we decided on a longer engagement, I was determined to make our budget work. I’ve always been a person to procrastinate, but when it came to our big day, I wanted to get everything done the second he put a ring on it, but as much as I booked and confirmed, I knew I needed somebody else by my side who understood the ins and outs. That’s when we came across our wonderful wedding coordinator, Hovik. He was able to not only help with planning, but combine both cultures (Middle Eastern and Hispanic) into one wedding. From the mariachi band to our Zaffe group, everything was perfect. It meant so much to us to be able to give our families and friends the chance to understand both cultures. Dancing didn’t stop all night.”

From the sweet bride, Lauren:

“To all the beautiful bride-to-be’s out there, please don’t stress over your big day. No matter what happens, you’re going to stand up there and marry the person of your dreams. That’s the best part. The party is just a plus. Give yourself time to plan, don’t rush things. And remember to always listen to your significant other. I included my husband in every decision and made sure he didn’t feel left out, especially when I got carried away. I would also recommend a wedding coordinator, over and over again. As soon as midnight hit and we were ready to leave, I walked outside and everything was packed and ready to go. We didn’t have to lift one finger. I cannot stress enough how comforting and free that felt. We were able to drive straight home, with gifts in our car and decorations put away. The day will end in a blink of an eye but our wedding photographer, Anya Kernes, and our videographer, Light Up Videos, did the most amazing job capturing every single moment. I’ve looked at both well over a hundred times. Even though our wedding has come and gone, I still think about it every single day.”

We love hearing Lauren’s words of advice, and how wonderful having the right vendors made her and Anthony’s wedding day just perfect.
