Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Since today is the epitome of Fall, I thought it would be perfect to feature a Fall-inspired wedding! This beach wedding from Avant Images not only had a Fall theme, but it was also intimate and full of so much love. It actually reminds me of the Thanksgiving meals that we will all be sharing with our families today. Oh, and keep an eye out for the couple’s adorable son- he kind of stole the whole show! ;)

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

My mom- with the help of Pinterest- did so much during the months leading up to the wedding. She put in countless hours so that my wedding could be exactly what I wanted and thanks to her it was!

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

The most important thing to us when deciding who to work with was probably their professionalism and reputation. Your wedding day is the most important day of your life so you want to make sure you can trust the people you are working with to make sure everything is how you want it to be.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

Burlap and lace was my inspiration, I wanted something simple and something that was “me”. Once I decided to get a lace dress the rest fell into place!

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

I loved my ceremony, it was intimate and personal even with 250+ guests. I also loved our flowers and details and of course our photography because now we will always have a piece of every part of our wedding thanks to the wonderful photography by Katelyn James that captures every moment.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Budget money for a good photographer! Photography is expensive these days but it is so important because it captures the memories from your special day that you don’t want to forget! 

I certainly can’t argue with Leslie on her advice- a great photographer is always worth it! :)

I am absolutely LOVING the pink and mint color palette! It’s soft, but not too subdued… absolutely gorgeous! I think pink and mint might be pretty popular in coming months- and I will certainly welcome that! So brides, are any of you planning on using pink or mint in your wedding colors? Or how about burlap- will you be using any of that like Leslie did?

Happy Tuesday everyone! Gray is quite popular here on ELD this week! As it should be though- it’s such a great neutral to pair with bold accent colors! Today’s wedding inspiration incorporates pink and gray in with a southern glam style, and it’s absolutely gorgeous! Planned and designed by Flaire Weddings & Events,  photographed by Jenn Hopkins Photography, and accented with paper pieces by Dogwood Blossom Studios, this wedding inspiration is perfect for the bride who wants a wedding full of southern charm and a little bit of glam- the best of both worlds if you ask me!

From Flaire Weddings & Events…

For this shoot, I wanted to create an event that exuded “Southern Glam” – so many southern shoots are very muted, featuring pastel and neutral colors, and I wanted to inject some fun into the typical Southern scene with my signature hot pink color. I paired the hot pink with gray, white and silver accents, making this glam color scheme the perfect contrast to our ultra-Southern venue for the shoot, the Horse Stamp Inn located in Waverly, Georgia.

For the “ceremony” vignette, I chose to use the venue’s adorable barn as our altar area. I’m all about unique ceremony backdrops, and this fit the bill. We added ruffled white curtains to soften the barn’s entrance area, and hung a chicken wire frame with a floral monogram to create a focal point.

The “reception” table is inside the barn, with moody lighting, elegant candlelight, and shimmering glass and metal accents. The favors were adorable glass bottles filled with ranunculus stems and placed at each place setting.

And how awesome is that cake?! Cakes are definitely becoming one of my favorite weddings details- you can do so much with them now! I love how the shape on the cake mimics the shape on the table runner- did you catch that? :) Such a gorgeous tablesetting too!
