How gorgeous is The Alfond Inn!? We are so excited that they are hosting The Dairing Bride Academy this year!

What is The Dairing Bride Academy?

The Dairing Bride Academy is a full day Wedding Planning Workshop! We take Brides through every step along the way, from creating their budget, photography, design & planning, to invitations and etiquette! Each Attendee will leave with a better handle on where to either start planning or pick-up where they left off! The coolest part {I think} is that the workshop is completely interactive! Our Expert Vendors (or Educators as I like to call them), are there to answer any and ALL of the burning questions that each Bride has. Not only will you be able to ask questions during each session, but during Lunch too, as our Educators will be seated with the Brides during lunch for even more one-on-one time. There is no way a Bride will leave without their questions being answered.

Who is it for?

We are inviting all Brides from across Florida to attend. Whether you have just started planning or have a few months to go, this event is for everyone! We even encourage each Bride to bring their Mother or their Maid of Honor as a support system. It will be fun and enlightening for everyone who attends.

Not only is this an amazing Workshop but we have some even more amazing Educators! Every Last Detail’s own Lauren Grove will be speaking on the subject of Budgets, how to talk about them and how to create your own!

Oh and there are so many more perks! When you purchase your ticket to attend the workshop get ready for some seriously magical surprises! From the amazing Swag Bags (worth over $200!) to the Ice Breaker event hosted by Solutions Bridal the night before, plus Yoga in morning, Breakfast, Lunch, and a snack to-go is ALL INCLUDED in the ticket price! It is a day not only to be inspired but to be absolutely SPOILED! You are a Bride and that is exactly how it should be!

For more information and to register for your own seat, go to www.dairingbrides.com

And great news! ELD Readers will get $25.00 OFF Registration when you use the code “EveryLastDetail“!

Here are some fun Instagram photos taken by the attendees last year to give you a little taste of what is in store… we hope to see you there!

Amanda and Billy’s beautiful navy and yellow wedding is full of rustic details and chic style. Inspired by Amanda’s sapphire and diamond engagement ring and the rustic backdrop of the Winter Park Farmer’s Market, the result was a gorgeous rustic chic celebration, and Krista Marie Photography was there to capture it all!

Amanda is here with us today sharing more about her wedding planning experience:

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Our wedding truly would not have been possible without the help of my mom and our oh-so-talented wedding planner, Jaclyn. The two of them were my saving grace and allowed me to be completely calm and relaxed on our wedding day.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

The most important thing for me was how comfortable I felt with my vendors from the first time we met. Also, I wanted to make sure that they understood the vision and feel that we were going for.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

My engagement ring was my initial inspiration for our wedding details & colors. My ring is a beautiful blue sapphire surrounded by a halo of diamonds. I tried to incorporate the navy blue and white colors into the reception as much as possible. I also drew inspiration from the rustic venue that we chose for our reception. The Winter Park Farmers Market was the perfect backdrop for our rustic chic wedding.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

My absolute favorite thing about my wedding day was finally getting to marry the love of my life as well as spending the day celebrating with our friends and family. It was more perfect than I could have ever imagined and I feel so blessed to have had such amazing vendors. My favorite wedding detail was the chalkboards that were created by Kimberly McFadden at Chalk Shop. The beautiful boards finished off our reception decor perfectly!

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

My advice would be to just sit back and enjoy all the planning and wedding festivities. It goes by so quickly but it was, without a doubt, the happiest day of my life!

Don’t you just love the all the chalk art? What an awesome wedding detail!

I’m loving how Amanda was inspired by her engagement ring for her navy and yellow wedding decor! What’s inspiring you for your own wedding?

Advice from the Couple:

“Don’t let the small things ruin your big day – things will go wrong, but at the end of the day you don’t have a time machine to go back and fix them. The most important thing is that you’re getting married to the person who means the most to you – don’t lose sight of that. And have FUN!”

It most certainly looks like Kat and Nick had an AMAZING wedding, and having fun definitely played a part in that! I mean… how fun is a food truck AND fireworks to close out your wedding?!

I love that this couple stayed true to themselves when it came to designing their awesome and gorgeous red wedding. Do any of you have something in particular in mind for how you’ll stay true to yourselves with your own wedding design? I would love to hear!

We’re in the wake of Engagement Season, and it’s time for newly engaged brides to start inquiring with vendors, so of course they’re sending tons of emails to potential wedding vendors. With that though, we’ve noticed a few things- specifically, that these emails lack the information necessary for a wedding professional to respond accurately- so today we’re sharing a few helpful tips on how to email potential wedding vendors! [Editor’s note: I myself had NO CLUE what I was supposed to email when inquiring with wedding vendors… I definitely wish I had this information!]

How to Email Potential Wedding Vendors via TheELD.com

As a wedding planner, I personally am receiving 10-15 emails a day from potential brides, and one thing has become very apparent: messages are being sent in haste and without any information- essentially just to get the email into vendors’ inboxes. Each email I receive rarely has all the information I need to know to respond efficiently, so when I send my reply, it too is filled with questions, rather than the answers the bride was looking for.

Experiencing this prompted me to ask some of my peers if they were experiencing the same thing, and a resounding YES was their answer! So in an effort to make things a bit more streamlined and information, I have created a simple template to use when emailing potential wedding vendors! It is as easy as “copy & paste”, and not only will the potential vendors you’re emailing appreciate how thorough you are, but the email you will receive in return will have a wealth of information for you! This “template” is just six simple questions that may seem common knowledge to share, but they often get forgotten and are important to share with your potential vendors:

1) What is your Wedding Date?

If you don’t have a date chosen, share the month or year you’re looking at getting married in.

2) Are you local to that vendor or are you getting married in the area that vendor resides?

If you are not local, tell the potential vendor where you are coming from and why you chose that area.

3) Do you have a Venue booked?

If not, I am sure you have looked at some you like! What are they? This helps the potential vendor know your style, what you are looking for, and how they can help!

4) How many guests you are expecting to attend your wedding?

Your guest count can affect several different things, so if you’re looking for pricing for rentals, catering, or even a service, this is important to include.

5) What is your wedding budget?

I know this is a “taboo” question to be asked, but your potential vendors need to know this information. Furthermore, please don’t lie about your budget. If you have $25,000 and you tell us your budget is $15,000, we won’t be able to effectively send you to the right vendors or tell you about our services that fit into your budget. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.

6) What other vendors have you booked, if any?

Don’t just say you’ve already booked a photographer, florist, and DJ. We want to know NAMES! Share WHO you have already booked, IE: J’Adore Studios, Shea Hopely Flowers, and DJ Jacob Towe!

So there you have it! A simple template that you can use as a guide when you are emailing potential vendors for your wedding. All you have to do is copy and paste it, and answer the questions with your own info! And if you have more information that you can share in your email, then go for it- it’s all about the information!

Have any questions about what else you should be including in your emails to potential vendors? Feel free to ask away- we’re here to help!
