Elizabeth grew up vacationing in Boca Grande and the island holds a special place in her heart, so of course it was the perfection location for her destination wedding! She and Trevor hosted 200 guests for the weekend, inviting them to participate in various activities, including a croquet tournament and a beach party. Elizabeth and Trevor started their wedding day off in a bit of a non-traditional manner, with a special morning ceremony at a beautiful and intimate Catholic church on the island for close family- all for the sake of tradition. This special time was then followed by a larger ceremony on the golf course for all of their attendees to enjoy, filled with a fun hot pink and navy color palette and preppy details- a perfect fit for Boca Grande. The whole day was planned by our favorite, NK Productions Wedding Planning, and captured by Concept Photography (another fave of ours!) and we know you’re absolutely going to enjoy all of the fun and details!

Sweet and southern is the only way to describe this beautifully organic Amelia Island wedding planned by Dairing Events. Kristen & Harrison were married under a moss covered oak tree in the golden sunlight that is like something out of a dream. With a neutral color palette and lush greenery details, this couple kept to a natural vibe with a gorgeous touch of whimsy and romance. Lots of candlelight created an elegant mood, while still being fun and relaxed, and of course a cigar bar was the perfect late night activity for guests to enjoy! We can’t wait for you to enjoy all of the beauty captured by Finny Hill Photography!

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Google spreadsheets! I have a very busy job so wedding planning on top of that was a lot. Google spreadsheets helped to keep me organized and maintain my sanity. You can share them with your wedding planner or whoever is helping you and you can edit them together from different locations which is great! Also, my mom! She is was a saint throughout the whole process and helped take a lot off of my plate. I couldn’t have done it without her.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

I worked with Adair Currie from Dairing Events. I was planning my wedding from Dallas so I knew I needed someone that got my vision, was highly organized and a great communicator. When we had our first Skype meeting, I knew Adair was that person. She came to the first call with so many ideas and I loved them all. I love when people go the extra mile like that.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

I made several versions of inspiration boards on Pinterest before I narrowed it down. I decided I wanted the whole wedding to have a very organic/natural feel while also being whimsical. My color palette was lots of white, wood, greenery and copper accents. We also had light gray throughout which was the color of my bridesmaid’s dresses.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

My favorite thing was first and foremost, having everyone from different parts of Harrison and I’s lives together in one place. It is overwhelming how loved you feel on your wedding day.
Also, the location – it was a dream! The hotel was on the beach and our wedding site was on the marsh under these beautiful Florida oak trees. The sunset was magical.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Just remember, the wedding is one day. Marriage is what it is really about. It will be the best day or your life but don’t sweat the small stuff. Be sure to stop and take it all in because it is over before you know it!

From Sapphire Events:

This fun loving couple from Los Angeles decided to celebrate their wedding in the deep south in a city that they both adored, New Orleans.  Originally from Liberia, Maxcell has a heart for traveling.  For her birthday John planned a trip to Maui. Maxcell, a fashionista herself, had a Chanel birthday cake and John had a special surprise in store.  Maxcell was presented a caricature painting of the couple on the beach with John on one knee.  Before she could process everything that was going on in this real life fairytale, John was on one knee proposing to the love of his life.  The eye for style was unmistakable in this couple’s attire for their special day.   For her first dress for the wedding ceremony, Maxcell donned a stunning Inbal Dror gown with gold Oscar De LaRenta shoes. Further into the evening she surprised guests with a glittery black  Galila Lahav gown with shoes by Christian Louboutin.  The couple danced the night away at the Montegut house and had the time of their lives with their closest family and friends.

A computer scientist by trade, one of Ryan’s wedding planning wishes was to be married on Pi Day (3.14.15). This request and another– he wanted his backyard to serve as the wedding’s location – made Ryan and Paula’s sweet soiree meaningful from the start!

The pair could not have made a better decision by opting to turn to Stephany of The Majestic Vision, to assist them in planning their Palm Beach day (there’s no one who knows the area better, y’all!). Together, they melded their styles together into an elegant backyard wedding that featured lush roses and tons of greenery from Gerilyn Gianna Event & Floral Design, Paula’s adorable great grandmother serving as the flower girl during their outdoor ceremony officiated by Paula’s grandfather, and a delectable and very fitting pie bar filled with desserts from Good Pie Company during the reception (and much, much more).

You simply must keep reading and scrolling below in order to take in all the beauty captured by Robert Madrid Photography!
