A colorful, backyard bohemian wedding was the perfect choice to reflect the authentic love that Eva and Matt share. Taking place at their private residence, the couple wanted their guests to be surrounded by a lively, colorful atmosphere, filled with moments of personality and pops of fun all throughout the day. Having met in the vibrant country of India, Eva and Matt’s wedding planner and designer, Ashton Events, incorporated their love story by infusing international elements throughout their wedding. A relaxed cocktail hour featuring Indian + Turkish street food, a flavorful buffet selection, and Moroccan lanterns were just a few of the touches included that reflected Eva and Matt perfectly. The Image Is Found Photography was there to capture each and every moment and detail, and we can’t wait for you to relive Eva and Matt’s beautifully personal bohemian wedding day!

Eva and Matt’s style was eclectic and familiar, appreciating details and mementos from all over the world and, as well, great hospitality. Mismatched and natural elements, along with personality and romance, were infused throughout the decor. As well, we used a lot of foliage focused florals and eclectic furniture as the base of the design. The outdoor ceremony was set up in sight of a wooden pergola with rows of tree logs lined up for guests to sit. Silky, sky-blue pouches filled with rice were left on each seat for the couple’s exit from the ceremony.
We combined eucalyptus, lemon leaf and ivy with smilax and italian ruscus to provide the foundation for fluffy flowers within the floral arrangements. We set up a comfortable, marigold couch paired with dusty orange and olive green arm chairs. Each coffee table featured a few small bud vases filled with flowers and a set of coasters.
The outdoor location created a delightful atmosphere as guests were encouraged to venture the property and enjoy crafting together s’mores by the backyard bonfire. Throughout the front yard of the property, the trees are wound with clear christmas lights. In the backyard, there are colored lights strung in the tree. Before the lighting of sparklers, guests danced the night away under the array of lights. It was a breathtaking evening, and we were so thrilled with how it turned out!

We love when we see designers combining different styles to create a unique wedding look, and these black and rose gold wedding ideas created by Michelle Garibay Events have absolutely stolen our hearts! Geometric shapes, geodes, sequins, and stripes are the perfect elements to go with a style that combines modern angles with metallic glamour- and Avalon Palm Springs was the perfect location. The look is edgy, chic, and glamorous, and we think you’re going to LOVE all that Ashley La Prade Photography captured!

I love combining styles so for this shoot, I wanted metallic glamour in the warmer tones like rose gold and copper. But I wanted to also take it a different direction, away from the soft ethereal looks we’ve been seeing, so I incorporated more unconventional elements bringing in the black, geometrics and geode. Palm Springs is the perfect complement to a more non-traditional style. The Avalon gave this shoot room to breathe (despite the unusual rain we had all day) and the end-result was edgy, lush and bold – perfect for couples who love to push the boundaries of what a traditional luxe wedding looks like.

Not only is Events by Jules one of our fabulous V List Members, but Julie was also the planner behind another Dallas wedding we published on ELD. That wedding continues to be one of my very favorites to date! Meredith and Jacob’s Alex Camp House wedding at the Dallas Arboretum is stunning, unforgettable, and a new favorite for reasons far beyond just the pretty details (and they are PRETTY!).

Meredith planned her wedding knowing her dad may not have been able to attend due to his advanced Alzheimer’s. Once I learned this, the photos Kristen Dee captured of Meredith embracing her dad for the first time in her wedding dress, posing with her sister pre-wedding, walking down the aisle toward Jacob with her mom and her dad, and dancing at her reception suddenly required a second look. Meredith’s bouquet by R Love Floral & Events is truly marvelous (bright colors, y’all!), the bridesmaids and groomsmen look so chic in their black and white attire, and I love every detail about the outdoor ceremony and pink, black, and gold reception (a serious feat as sweet Julie will tell you!). But, it’s Meredith’s dad being able to attend that will continue to shine brightly to me.

As you plan your wedding, always keep you, your love, and your family at the center. We love details, but it’s these wedding stories that, sincerely, move us most. Happy 2017, friends!
