So remember when I was planning an inspiration shoot and I couldn’t decide on the colors, so I asked you to vote? Well, as you may have guessed, the pink, yellow, & gray inspiration board won! And so, as promised, I created one of my shoots for my “shoot extravaganza” day around the inspiration board! With the help of the amazing Shay Cochrane, I was able to bring the inspiration board “to life” to share with all of you!
As I was planning the shoot, I kept coming up with ideas that involved ribbon- probably because I had been wanting to make a ribbon chandelier for forever! So I decided to just make it part of the theme for the whole inspiration shoot. In addition to the ribbon chandelier, I created thatched ribbon placemats, a special thatched ribbon escort card display, and a ribbon table number. I wrapped a vase in ribbon, thanks to a DIY tutorial that I saw on Pizzazarie (yay!), and finished the whole look of the table off with ribbons hanging from the chairs at the table. Chic Sweets, a local dessert table company, took the ribbon theme even further in her dessert table design. It turned out that using the ribbon as the theme of the whole shoot was a great move- there were so many ways to incorporate them into all of the details! It all came together beautifully, and was so fresh, bright and modern- perfect for spring! And so, with all of that said, I give you my “pink, yellow, & gray modern ribbon” inspiration shoot!
Think about how awesome this ribbon theme would be at an actual wedding! Someone please please please do it! I’ll help you ;)
Everyone involved in the shoot did SUCH an amazing job- I can’t thank them enough! It’s always such a fun feeling to dream something up, create it, and then see it in photos- it’s so different than seeing it in real life! And Shay Cochrane‘s photography is so gorgeous- she made everything I did look amazing! :)
