It is no secret that I love anything and everything pink. So when I saw today’s wedding, I pretty much fell instantly in love with everything about it- from the amazingly gorgeous florals, to the fun bridesmaids dresses, and of course the fabulous photography by Casey Connell Photography! In my mind, this bride did pink just right.
From the bride…
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
I looked through tons of wedding magazines and would fold down the pages of everything I liked. The magazines helped me get ideas on everything like my dress, bridesmaid dresses, wedding party gifts, flower arrangements etc.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
The most important thing was that they had experience, a good reputation, and well versed in their profession. It made me feel better when I had a question and they knew exactly how to answer it.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
Our business was one of the top inspirations for our wedding. We own 16 Handles Clifton Park, a self-serve frozen yogurt shop. We based our favors, the dessert, and the table names all around the business. We had hot fudge and caramel that were homemade for our favors. We brought in frozen yogurt from the store as part of our dessert. The tags that our guest picked up to find out their table name were tied onto ice cream scoops and all the tables were named as one of the flavors we have in our store, for example Go Bananas.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
My favorite thing about our wedding was my dress. I absolutely loved my dress!
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
Do your research and make sure you triple check the details before your wedding day so that on your wedding day you can just think about yourself. Leave the planning and details to someone you trust, like a wedding coordinator at your venue or a wedding planner. Enjoy every last second because the day goes by in a blink of an eye!
I just LOVE that they themed their wedding around their frozen yogurt shop! Not only is it personal and sweet, but it’s so fun too! I mean, who doesn’t love frozen yogurt? And hot fudge for favors? Yes please!
