This California wedding from Katie Neal Photo that I have for you all today is so beautiful, and the bride and groom have such a sweet story. The bride actually wrote up a little description of the wedding, so I’ll just let her take over…
Robbie and I are really personal people so we wanted every part of the wedding to be meaningful in a very special way, but we also wanted a traditional wedding redone in a nontraditional way. Robbie and I have both always dreamt of having a beach wedding so naturally The Salt Air Club was our first choice. Both of us wanted to make this wedding relaxing, enjoyable and a reflection of who we were as lovers of each other and God so we tried to incorporate as many meaningful things as we could. We had a very special friend of ours, Eddie, marry us. Eddie was there from the beginning and has watched us grow since our relationship began in an outdoor prayer meeting 5 years ago. All the small details were important to us from the flowers to the food. We wanted to do something love-bird romantic so we incorporated feathers into our floral arrangements, and with help from a peacock stamp from Papersource we were able to reproduce the motif in our programs and wedding signs. To us, the food our guests were enjoying was one of the most important aspects, and our guests were thanking us at the end of the night for having the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding.
The most memorable moment of the wedding day was a combination of our candle-light prayer tunnel exit and our first kiss…we had literally waited for our first kiss. Advice: Be yourself, be natural and enjoy your special day. This is a celebration of your love for one another.
It definitely looks like they achieved a relaxing wedding that reflected themselves! Just what I LOVE to see! :) Oh, and I just LOVE that they went to The Dry Bar to have their hair done! I’ve heard all about that place on Twitter, and it looks SO cute! :) A big thank you to the lovely Katie Neal for sharing this wedding with us!
