I know I say that I’m excited to introduce you all to the Vendor of the Week every single week, but it’s because I truly do love these people! :) This week’s vendor, Dear Wesleyann, is no different. This girl is full of love, sunshine, and happiness- and so are her images! I’m honored to say that she is my friend and a member of Every Last Vendor! :) Now sit back, get to know her, and enjoy her beautiful work!

Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?

{Modern + Eclectic} Wedding photographs are meant to transcend generations. So while there is to be a timelessness beauty to them, they’re also to be images that captured everything about that day and be completely you!! That means all the giggles, grins, tears, “i dos,” kisses, high-fives, and break dances along with those sweet and simple intimate moments with the bride and groom just being happy and in love…all shot with perhaps a slightly different perspective but driven by each couple’s personality!

What is your favorite wedding detail you’ve ever seen or created?

Brides now days are hands down more creative when it comes to their weddings than I can ever remember! Where was Pinterest when I got married 6 yrs ago?! I don’t think I can name just one amazing physical detail. However, what seriously makes a wedding memorable and for the best images is genuine, happy love…when couples are head over heels in love, happy, and comfortable just being who they are with each other!! Every photographer crosses their fingers for this {happy} love…it’s not something we can create or just make happen!

What is your favorite store or brand?

My bank statements would say Forever 21, Target, or Starbucks, but my heart would tell you Anthropologie, Pottery Barn or Deja Vu {my favorite little clothing boutique here in the FL Panhandle}.

What is your favorite thing about weddings?

I was that 8 year old little girl who would look through magazines and dream of her one day wedding. Seriously! I love the entire planning experience as well as the entire wedding day! What moments take my breath away? The look on the bride’s face when she sees herself in the mirror for the first time in her dress, the look on the father’s face as he glances at his daughter one last time before walking her down the aisle, the unpredictable flower girls and ring bearers, the way every groom plays with his new wedding band on his finger…the tears and laughter full of excitement and joy!

What qualities do you possess that enable you to work well with brides and grooms?

Prior to being a photographer, I was actually a wedding coordinator. Weddings are just ingrained in who I am! I’m also what you might call, a “visual communicator”…I’m one that can mentally visualize something and bring in to life through words or in photographs! In the wedding industry, those two things play such an important key role!

What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?

Nothing warms my heart more than to hand over wedding images to a bride who has become a friend! My work and my business are so much apart of who I am and genuine reflection of my heart! I want everything from that first meeting chatting over coffee to even the celebration of their first year anniversary to be an experience that brings about true joy! Along the way, I also surprise them with little reminders to let them know how much I care about them and their journey! I’ve learned through out the years that some of life’s greatest rewards and blessings, come from putting a smile on other’s faces….I want those smiles to be long lasting!

We filmed a wedding with Dear Wesleyann last Saturday. She’s energetic, fun and absolutely inspiring as another visual artist to work with. It poured with rain all day, but I had to laugh and called Wesleyann a “recovering wedding coordinator” when she presented the bridesmaids with melon and green (our brides color palette) polka dotted umbrellas for them to use to get to the chapel and for an impromptu photo session. Talented AND thoughtful. Seriously, what more could a couple want???
