This candlelit wedding that I have for you all today from Best Photography and At Last Weddings + Event Design is simple, elegant, and absolutely gorgeous! A pretty amazing combination if you ask me. The lovely bride, Amanda, is here to share some insight into her wedding planning…

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
Remembering that at the end of our wedding day, we would be married, which is all that mattered! The details can be overwhelming at times, but we have incredibly supportive families and friends and it was comforting to know that those people were coming to celebrate us and would be happy, even if everything wasn’t flawless.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
Experience and responsiveness. We had never planned a wedding, or an event of that size, so it was important for us to work with vendors whose experience we could lean upon. Additionally, you can learn a lot from early communications with vendors, and many of our vendors’ responsiveness to our preliminary questions and concerns helped us decide to work with those vendors on our big day.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
The soaring ceilings and white marble floors of the Orlando Museum of Art provided a great backdrop for the classical elegance we were aiming for.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
The celebration – we made decisions in our planning process aimed at helping our guests have a fun evening, and we had the best time dancing the night away – we only wish it had lasted longer!

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
Hire good vendors. We were so happy with our vendors, but Jaclyn, our coordinator, was key for us. The day goes SO FAST, and it is important for others to be able to handle any issues that may arise so that you can enjoy yourself and take in the beauty of your wedding day. Before you know it it will be over, and you don’t want to spend any time sweating the small stuff.
Amanda said it better than I ever could have- it’s important for others to handle issues so you can enjoy yourself on your wedding day! SO perfect and wonderful to hear!
I absolutely adore all of the candlelight used for the reception decor- such a great nonfloral centerpiece idea that still makes a wonderful statement.
Are any of you planning on using candles in your wedding decor?
Vendors who made it all happen…
