Amanda and Tyler’s Alabama wedding was a beautifully organic event that incorporated so many elements that were special to them. Both the bride and groom enjoy being outdoors and nature walks, so their stunning ceremony site, overlooking Monte Sano Mountain, was the absolute perfect choice for them. They incorporated lots of personal touches in their wedding ceremony, including a hand-tying ceremony, the bride’s grandmothers as the “flower ladies”, and the groom’s grandfather as the ring bearer (such a great idea!). During the reception, guests enjoyed dinner and dessert in the Monte Sano Lodge. The outdoors was brought inside beautifully, incorporating decor floral chandeliers, greenery, stems of flowers, candles, and moss. The day flowed perfectly thanks to Kathleen Bernal Events, and we truly love how Amanda and Tyler’s day reflected them through and through- we can’t wait for you to see the images captured by Mary Margaret Smith Photography!
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
My mom and Pinterest! We spent countless hours scrolling and getting inspiration and my mom was truly amazing in making the vision come to life. Her extremely hard work, organization, and attention to detail are truly what made the day come together perfectly.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
My goal was to make the day as stress free as possible for everyone involved. Most of the vendors we chose had already been involved in my sister’s or my friends’ weddings so I knew their work and didn’t have to worry about what the results would be.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
Our venue was a mountain lodge on state park grounds so that was definitely the inspiration. I wanted to bring the outdoors in for the dinner and play up the mountain setting but still keep everything very romantic.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
My favorite thing was just looking around and seeing how much fun everyone was having. I just really felt the love from everyone involved. It was a magical day.
