I’m about to attempt making cake truffles for the first time. Cake truffles are the new dessert fad in the wedding world. I had never even heard of them until a few weeks ago, when Kathy from KB’s Kake Kreations was kind enough to bring samples to the wedding planner certification course I was attending. I was in heaven. I’m pretty sure I ate more of them than anyone else did. I haven’t stopped daydreaming about them…so now I’m trying to make them for my husband’s birthday treat.

Cake truffles are a great alternative to a wedding cake, or a wonderful addition to the wedding cake! They are also great as wedding favors.

{Update: They are a lot harder to make than I thought! I don’t know how Kathy makes SO many and gets them looking so beautiful!}

    These things are ridiculously good! I've had them before by a local cake baker, and she was going to do them & my cake for my wedding, but then she had to move out of state!

    To anyone interested in these, they are AWESOME, and they would be a great treat for your guests at your wedding!

    These truffles look like a dream! I would love to see this wedding trend in Colorado!

    I brought them to a party tonight, and they were an absolute hit! They're fairly easy to make, so maybe a cake baker in Colorado would be willing to give them a shot!
