If you’re an Amazon addict like my husband and I, then you know about Amazon Prime Day! I was perusing the deals, and I realized that quite a few of the items that I bought after I had my baby were listed, so I thought I would put together a quick little post to share those new mom must haves. If you or someone you know are having a baby soon, you’re going to want these things! (Some of these items are currently on sale, and some will be going on sale throughout the day. Make sure you add them to your “watch” list if you can’t purchase yet!)

[ezcol_4fifth_end]Vava Nightlight: When in the hospital, I quickly realized that I wanted to see baby at all times, and I needed a little bit of light when getting up multiple times per night. This nightlight is rechargeable, portable, and has different levels of light- even different color tones. Definitely love it and it will be a staple in our house for years to come I’m sure![/ezcol_4fifth_end]

[/ezcol_1fifth]
[ezcol_4fifth_end] Hallway nightlights: Again, waking up multiple times a night. These are great because they’re light-sensing, so you just place them and don’t have to think about anything. We put some throughout our house (you know, for when I wake up in the middle of the night looking for a snack) and one in our bathroom too (which I could have definitely used when pregnant too!). [/ezcol_4fifth_end]

[/ezcol_1fifth]
[ezcol_4fifth_end]My Brest Friend Nursing Pillow: This may look weird, but it’s awesome. At first, I was a little hesitant to use it because of how it looks, but friends, it is amazing in the newborn nursing stage! You can literally just attach it to yourself… I would walk around with it on some days! The Boppy didn’t work out super well for me in those days, but I do use it now that baby is older. [/ezcol_4fifth_end]

[/ezcol_1fifth]
[ezcol_4fifth_end]Stroller fan: Living in Florida, this is a MUST (although we’re not doing much walking nowadays in the summer). I quickly realized that covering up baby from the sun also resulted in creating a lack of airflow, so this was a quick purchase. [/ezcol_4fifth_end]
[ezcol_1fifth]
[/ezcol_1fifth]
[ezcol_4fifth_end]Mederma: Yeah, I know people don’t really talk about this, but listen- stretch marks happen (and if you’re lucky like me, you get them AFTER you’ve had the baby- not sure how that happens), and this stuff is normally pretty expensive! Any chance to get it on sale is a big win in my book! [/ezcol_4fifth_end]
[ezcol_1fifth]
[/ezcol_1fifth]
[ezcol_4fifth_end]Pacifier Holder: I haven’t purchased this yet, but I most definitely will be! I’ve been carrying pacifiers in a small tupperware container, and it’s just not cute! [/ezcol_4fifth_end]
And then here are a few other items that I didn’t see were on sale, but they’re all items that I ended up getting after baby came.
[ezcol_4fifth_end]Freemie Concealable Breast Pump Collection Cups: I ended up getting these after the first month, because I quickly realized how uncomfortable the normal pump pieces are- especially when I was trying to kill two birds with one stone by working and pumping at the same time. I also use these when I’m putting makeup on (which doesn’t happen quite as often nowadays) and they don’t get in the way. Now, I will say that they’re not quite as effective as the normal pump parts, but they’re great for comfort and ease! [/ezcol_4fifth_end]
[ezcol_1fifth]
[/ezcol_1fifth]
[ezcol_4fifth_end]Hands-free pumping and nursing bra: I was totally not prepared for pumping y’all. I figured I wouldn’t need to pump until a few weeks after baby was born, but of course I was wrong. I ended up having to pump to get my milk to “come in”, and it was then that I realized I didn’t have a bra to facilitate hands free pumping. I ordered this right away, because I’m all about killing two birds with one stone. [/ezcol_4fifth_end]
[ezcol_1fifth]
[/ezcol_1fifth]
[ezcol_4fifth_end]Auto Rock ‘n Play Sleeper: So I heard so many people say that they swore by the Rock ‘n Play throughout my pregnancy. What I didn’t hear them say was that there were a billion Rock ‘n Play models, and that you needed to make sure to get the one that rocks automatically. As a result, I registered for the wrong Rock ‘n Play, and didn’t realize it until a few weeks after baby was home. So, make sure that when you’re registering for the infamous Rock ‘n Play, you’re getting the AUTO one! [/ezcol_4fifth_end]
[ezcol_4fifth_end] Dockatot: LIFE. SAVER. I don’t know what it is about this thing, but it’s amazing. We alternated between this and the Rock N Play for the first few months, and it also makes it easy for baby to sleep ANYWHERE. It’s pricey, but it’s WORTH IT. I am so glad that we went for it and got it… I don’t even want to think about life without a Dockatot! ;) [/ezcol_4fifth_end]
I’ll be adding in other items as I think of them… or rather, as I buy them!
