Happy Wednesday everyone! This modern chic gray and white wedding from Melissa McClure Photography is absolutely fabulous! It was perfectly intimate, as the bride and groom hosted the wedding at their Del Mar home. Add in a lush floral tablescape, gray and white chevron runners, and an adorable dog, and we have today’s perfectly modern chic wedding!
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
The most helpful vendor I had was my wedding coordinator Erin Donoghue, she was the best! I’m a control freak and had to just trust that Erin would make everything as beautiful and perfect as I would and she did.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
The most important thing for me was to make sure that my vendors were on the same page as I was. I didn’t want a coordinator/florist/caterer who didn’t get me and what my vision was for that day.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
We wanted an intimate family gathering with good food, wine and entertainment. We are older, so we knew exactly what we wanted. Our design was modern and clean. We love flowers, so we made sure we had lots of them.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
Relax and enjoy the day, because it goes by really fast. Also, don’t sweat the small stuff, if things go wrong – who cares, it just might add character or make for an interesting story about your day.
There is so much to love about this wedding! From the intimate at-home gathering and the appearance of the bride and groom’s adorable pup, to the modern chic decor and gorgeous details… I don’t think I can single out any one thing!
What do you all think of this modern chic fete? Are any of you planning a wedding with a similar style?
Vendors who made it all happen…
