Nothing says summer like a sunset Hudson Valley wedding. Laura and Phil’s effortlessly elegant estate wedding from the fab Mikkel Paige Photography checks all our boxes for a stunning event. Gorgeous lakeside venue? Check! Chic bridesmaid separates with tulle and sequins? Check, check! Lush and organic florals from Bourgeon by Amy Febinger in a cheerful color palette? Triple check! (Just look at that amazing ceremony arch!) There’s even a beautiful hand-lettered watercolor escort card display, so you know we are swooning! Get ready to start pinning your favorite details!
We also love the ways that Laura and Phil infused their personalities into their day. Both Laura and Phil have family from Canada, so they had an officiant who spoke both English and French, performing the ceremony in both languages so the French Canadian guests could also enjoy it. A few penguin elements were infused into the day to celebrate Phil’s love for penguins, and the entire wedding was gluten-free to accommodate Laura’s gluten sensitivity. And finally, there were fireworks in honor of Phil’s dad, who had passed away years before the wedding. We always love hearing about the many ways to incorporate your story into your wedding day, and Phil and Laura did such a wonderful job doing so for their Hudson Valley wedding!
