Chic, colorful, and full of style and flamingos, these Florida inspired pink and aqua wedding ideas are gorgeous and oh-so-fun! Inspired by the beautiful state of Florida, a bright color palette of pinks, corals, and aqua lends a cheerful ambiance to this wedding design created by Kelly McWilliams. Watercolor elements, the most gorgeous linen, and gold accents complete the joy-filled look, and one of our favorite photography duos, Cody and Tiffany of Hunter Ryan Photo, captured it all! Continue on for more about this design from Kelly, and to of course to see the beauty as well!
From Kelly:
There’s just no denying it. If you see a flamingo, you’re going to smile. And when you see a gold flamingo and a pink flamingo hugging necks you might just squeal a little! This inspiration shoot came on the whim of a cheerful conversation I was having with Tiffany at Hunter Ryan Photo about brunch and boutique weddings. We both love the light and cheerful mood that brunch and boutique evokes. So with that said we went straight into planning mode. I came up with the concept and then we both tossed around some locations until we remembered the awesome hidden gem of Tarpon Lodge.
It was important to me to truly inspire an approach to a wedding that was meant to be about joy and happiness, to feel very Florida and to be obtainable and to also feel every bit of luxurious and classy. With a color palette of flamingo pink, island blue, sunrise coral, white and gold, I think we hit the nail on the head. And of course, with watercolor being one of my favorite trends, that had to be incorporated that as well. The petals on the cake were even water color! For floral it was about a fresh cut look, nothing structured except the vessels. Add in a touch of modern geometric elements in the tablescape vessels and magic happened. Fashion is of course not to be missed! Often I think that brides are afraid that they can’t go full formal on a destination wedding. I think this proves just the opposite! The tuxedo, full gown & veil… they fit right in. How amazing are the photos on the dock? I die. And let’s not forget the Haute Bride jewels. Oh how they sparkle in the sun. One of the 2 skirts we used on the Kelly Chase Paper Doll Collection dress is actually hand painted, one of a kind! This shoot means so much to us because we love genuine Florida inspired weddings and if this doesn’t capture everything that is so full of sunshine and joy that Florida is, then I don’t know what does!

Lauren! THANK YOU! It means so much that you featured this inspiration shoot. It really did come from our hearts and we want couples to see that not all weddings have to look the same! They can be elegant and fun at the same time. Island and Destination weddings can be a sophisticated tropical without being overly beachy or overly punchy. So again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. And now I need to go put a flamingo in my front yard. Ha!
YAY!!! We’re so excited to see this on ELD! Thank you tons for loving it as much as we all do too!! We’ve been dying for an excuse to see Gold Flamingos! :)
This is so pretty! Love the flamingos!!
How pretty! Especially love the paper and the linen!
Classic Florida prep! I’m really into those geometric hurricanes right now. So trendy + their angular shape add a lot of visual interest.
