Whenever I hear “Italian” anything, my ears perk up, but when it’s an Italian inspired wedding design, I’m immediately sold. That was exactly the case with this stunning V List inspiration shoot designed by Just Save The Date Events. Taking place at Haus820, and drawing inspiration from Italy’s coast, a palette of blue, yellow, and orange with hints of green and white was the perfect choice for this design. An invitation suite by Blush Paper Co. featuring floral and citrus elements set the stage for this chic Italian look. Florals created by The Flower Studio in the bold color palette, tabletop pieces from Treasury Rentals, and an exquisite bride in lace beautified by Michele Renee The Studio completed the look beautifully. And with Flora Bloom Photography there to capture it all, the result was absolutely breathtaking! I can’t wait for you to see all of this beauty! And now you’ll have to excuse me while I go research tickets to Italy, k?!
From Kelly of Just Save The Date:
We love all things Italian… from the people to the food, to the beautiful scenery, we just can’t get enough! For this styled shoot, we decided to incorporate three of our favorite themes: gorgeous Italian Coastal inspiration mixed with clean color palette and pop of citrus.
We chose the soft, but vibrant color palette after being inspired by photos of a group of friend’s recent vacation to coastal Italy. The colors were a natural fit-soft blues, crisp white, vibrant citrus colors of yellow, green, orange and coral all mixed with gold accents and Italian-inspired tiled pottery. We used different textures throughout the shoot including 2 different patterned napkins, light and airy chiffon runners and structured ivory lace on the bride’s dress and veil.
To keep a semi-rustic, yet coastal feel, we opted for wooden-x-back chairs and a custom, wooden farmhouse table for the dinner table. The tables were accented with gold rimmed chargers, blue plates, blue-handled gold flatware and vintage mismatched blue and clear glassware. This complemented the gold candlesticks in the centerpiece garland that consisted of greenery, citrus fruit and blue & white Italian-inspired pottery pieces with bright blooms. Custom stationary in hues of blue, white, orange green and yellow accented the tables in the form of menus, as well as the invitation suite, while we used custom-printed citrus fruits as the placecards and a wood and acrylic table number.
Our favorite piece of the shoot was the vintage beverage cart. We used the ice cream cart from RW Rentals and added an slate blue umbrella. We placed the cart in front of a boxwood wall complete with signage painted to match our color palette and added a true pop of color with balloon garland to add just the right touch of whimsy and fun. Add in a custom acrylic signature drink sign, lots of Italian sodas and mixers, a slew of citrus fruit and flowers and of course, Italian liqueurs and aperitifs and you have a beverage cart plucked straight from the beaches of Capri or Positano!
To complete the Italian inspired wedding look and not to be forgotten, we kept things very simple and understated with a simple, but gorgeous cake display with not one, but two cakes accented with theme florals and greenery and of course, lemons.
