An evening of rustic elegance at Cross Creek Ranch was the perfect backdrop for Brandon and Lauren’s Central Florida wedding day. We love that they chose glamorous details that elevated the rustic style of their day, adding a bit of elegance to the design.

Rad Red Creative captured the beauty of this day in both photo and cinematic form, and we are in love with how everything came together. They selected a color palette that matched their style beautifully, featuring touches of blush mixed with rich navy tones, upping the romance in the most beautiful of ways.

From the floral detailing on the invitations that perfectly matched the floral design by Alta Fleura, to their personal style that had touches of their own unique flair, this couple created a beautiful experience for their guests to join them in celebration of their marriage, and we think you’re going to love it!

Tell us a little a bit about your wedding.

Our goal was to achieve rustic elegance. We wanted soft colors and romantic, timeless accents to fill the space. Our colors were blush, gold and navy. While we wanted an elegant wedding we also wanted it to be a relaxed intimate evening with family and friends. Our priorities were for sure finding an enchanting venue and amazing food. Cross Creek Ranch is such an breathtaking venue that you literally feel like time has stopped. From the moss covered trees to the rustic barn and open-air chapel each element really made our vision come to life!

Tell us about your attire choices.

After competing in pageants for most of my life, I didn’t want my gown to look like a pageant gown so I choose a gown with no beading – the only stoning appeared in the belt I selected. The lace was the perfect complement to our rustic wedding.

Brandon wanted to wear something classic and timeless. He knew he didn’t want to wear a tux so he selected a fitted tweed suit. Instead of a traditional boutonniere Brandon complemented his suit was a deer lapel pin that tied to our rustic theme, his groomsmen wore similar pins.

We both changed for the reception. I wore Lulu’s Bariano Ocean of Elegance Ivory Maxi Dress. It was something I could dance and have a good time in but at the same time still looked bridal and elegant. Brandon wanted to be a little more modern and choose a slim fitting suit with loafers. His favorite part of the suit was the waistcoat.

What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?

The most important thing to Brandon and I was making sure that our guests enjoyed themselves but that we also got to enjoy ourselves. Additionally, we wanted to make sure that our day was captured perfectly and had no issues with splurging to make sure we had the photos and video we wanted to remember our once in a lifetime day!

What were your favorite parts of the day?

One of my favorite parts of the day was walking down the aisle. I surprised Brandon as one of his friends sang “Make Me Whole” by Amel Larrieux – it was perfect!

After the wedding it was incredible to hang out with friends and family – there wasn’t a dry eye in the room when Brandon danced with his mom and later that evening we had a bonfire, smores, and a ton of outdoor games that made it a fun time for everyone.

Please describe any DIY, handmade, or personal details.

For our unity ceremony we decided we wanted to incorporate something we could have in our home. Brandon built a cross and we tied the strands during the unity ceremony inspired by Ecclesiastes 4:12. I absolutely love this cross, it turned out perfectly and is a constant reminder of that incredible day!

You won’t want to miss the beauty of their day that Rad Red Creative also captured in their wedding trailer. It captures so much of the joy and emotion that was felt throughout the day!

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?

Our advice is pretty simple – take your time! We were engaged for a over a year and it was one of the best things we ever did. It allowed us to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it with minimal stress. Also, its your day – other people mean well but at the end of the day you are the ones that have to live with it so make sure you’re happy!

How gorgeous is this couple? We love the thought that went into so many details that made their day so beautiful, and even more, the insight that they shared behind those decisions.

The old world style of the Castle Inn was the perfect setting for the romantic lavender wedding design that this team created. With soft lavender, an abundance of texture, organic florals with beautiful berry-toned colors, and a touch of vintage elegance, Sarah from Allium Floral Design  created a beautiful style that exuded so much romance.

The easy going yet elegant feel of this wedding day look was captured beautifully by Lauren Fair Photography. The bright and airy design added a touch of magic to the images, and we love how it carried over to all spaces of this inspiration.  We love how they bridged a variety of styles, incorporating vintage elegance and modern touches, and the soft lavender tones offered a subtle splash of color- perfect for spring! A decadent chocolate cake in front of a lavender backdrop with cascading vines and florals created a lovely focal point within the reception space, and we’re absolutely head over heels for it!

We think you’re absolutely going to enjoy this stunning spring inspiration full of so much beauty and romance!

A waterfront ceremony under the grand oak trees at The Powel Crosely Estate, complete with a reception on the lawn under the stars, Chelsea and Zack couldn’t have asked for a more romantic setting for their outdoor Florida wedding.

Keeping their day simple, this couple chose to have a laid back, cocktail-style reception. A palette of soft pink and glittering gold was a beautiful compliment to the mediterranean-style architecture of their venue. Cat Pennenga Photography captured the beauty and moments that made this couple’s wedding day so special. From getting ready images to sunset portraits, we love how Chelsea and Zack embraced every moment of this perfect day, and we can’t wait for you to be inspired by it all!

Tell us a little a bit about your wedding.

I really didn’t have much of a vision until I stumbled across the Powel Crosley Estate. I was just searching for wedding venues around central Florida and once I saw the photos of this place, I knew it was perfect. It was the perfect combination of a waterfront location that was still filled with charm and history. From there, I was able to decide on details such as colors, and style. I LOVED the combination of light pink, gold and tons of greenery. I had this vision of a romantic style with just a touch of rustic. We did this by incorporating some wooded elements in our decor.

What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?

We totally skipped on dinner at our reception. We had our ceremony at 7:30 pm and just provided finger foods and desserts at the reception. At first, this was an attempt to save money since we anticipated a large guest list. But given the chance to do it again, I would still go with this cocktail style reception. It was so laid back and fit our style perfectly. It turned out to more like an after party.

We love that this couple made decisions through their planning that made sense for their style and their budget. Planning a wedding is tough work, and sometimes that also means making difficult decisions when balancing wants with budget constraints, and this couple made choices that worked for them while giving them the celebration they’d hoped for!

Are there any compromises you foresee making to create the wedding day you’re dreaming of?

A lakeside reception on the edge of the bride’s parent’s home created a familiar setting for Nikki and John’s elegant backyard wedding day. With touches of tradition and a classic style, this couple created a celebration that mixed this tradition with a fun and laid back party.

Their style incorporated beautiful jewel toned florals by Supposey that provided a bold pop of color to the design of their day. With comfy lounges and a fun photo booth bus, they provided a space that invited their guests to cozy up, and enjoy an evening of celebration with this beautiful couple.

We love that this couple chose ways honor their family, and hold certain traditions close, and they leaned on their wedding planner, P.S. Weddings, to help guide them through the woes of planning. We hope you enjoy the beauty that Aislinn Kate Photography captured throughout the day as they celebrated their first moments of marriage with the people they love the most.

Tell us a little a bit about your wedding.

John left most of the decisions up to me. He said that he just wanted our guests to have a fantastic time. I knew that I didn’t envision having muted tones, so I wanted deep, vibrant jewel tones. Throughout the wedding planning process, I kept coming back to tradition and keeping things classic. I wanted to incorporate touches of our families. I had a table at the reception of our parents, grandparents, and even my great grandparents wedding photos. I also wore some family heirlooms. The church is very symbolic to my family. i was baptized in the Malbis Greek Orthodox church and all of my maternal family members have been buried in the adjacent cemetery.

The reception was held at a vacant lot adjacent to my parents home on the water. This allowed us to feel “at home,” while also not being confined to vendor restrictions or set up restrictions. Our final look was classic, and truly, like a dream.

What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?

The most important thing was not to get too caught up in it. We saw a lot of couples get so stressed out during the process that it wasn’t fun. We both just wanted to make our wedding true to “us” and to ensure our friends and families had a fantastic, memorable time.

Though we didn’t skip it, we did decide to postpone our honeymoon. We knew that wedding planning and work could be stressful on its own, if we let it. Adding planning a trip in the mix wasn’t something that we felt we needed to do right away.

What were your favorite parts of the day?

I LOVED our first look. We were on the fence about doing it and decided to do the first look about 3 months before the wedding. We loved that moment with each other and appreciated the quiet moments it allowed us.

The Orthodox wedding ceremony has never changed and I loved the standing there with John as we became husband and wife through the crowning ceremony and our first steps in the church together.

I know we both loved our band, Big Night Dynamite! The dancing was the best part of our reception! We even Greek danced for a few songs.

Most of all, we loved the beautiful smiles and hugs of our families and closest friends.

Did you include any family heirlooms or special traditions?

I wore some of my grandmothers jewelry. We also displayed family wedding photos of our parents, grandparents and my great grandparents.

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?

Don’t let it take over your every thought and conversation between the now and the wedding. It should be fun! Also, think about what works for you as a couple, rather than trying every Pinterest and wedding magazine trend.

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Between Chloe with Supposey and Aislinn with Aislinn Kate Photography, I felt like I had two wedding fairy godmothers. These ladies made the event like a fairy tale and eased any concern or stress on the day of.

My beautiful sister, Chrisandra was an incredible MOH and made sure I had everything I needed on the day of and throughout the planning.

We love the heartfelt details that these two poured into their wedding day.

Are there any personal touches you plan to focus some of your design choices around?
