Being that I featured the best Classic and Elegant weddings of 2012 today, and that it’s one of the last days of December, I thought that it was the perfect time to share this beauty of a wedding from Spindle Photography! With glitter, a few December holiday decorations, and a glowing bride and groom, it’s sure to warm your heart today!

A little bit about this wedding from Kelly of Spindle Photography…

Jessica and Casey met while going to school at Auburn so they chose to have their wedding there and incorporated a subtle navy and orange color scheme, an Auburn groom’s cake, and an Auburn shaker send-off. They are both in the air force so the groom’s cake table included a flight helmet and a bobblehead of Casey in uniform with a plane beside him, and they cut the cakes with swords. Both Jessica and Casey’s moms are super-crafty so the invitations and reception centerpieces were a labor of love utilizing Casey’s mom’s scrapbooking skills while Jessica planned out the seating chart and chalkboard menu, and the unique time capsule guestbook (I loved it!). Heidi Elnora designed Jessica’s wedding gown, and I love that she gifted Jessica a sketch of the gown that she displayed at the reception. She also made a sash for Jessica’s sister that incorporated some lace from her gown as well as their mom’s, which was crafted into a reception dress by Heidi. I love Jessica and Casey so much and their love and their wedding day were so beautiful!

I love that Jessica’s reception dress was made from her mom’s wedding dress! Such a great idea! And having met while in school, it definitely makes sense to incorporate that into their wedding. I love it when a couple infuses their “story” into the wedding.
