I love fun and bright weddings, and this pink, orange, and aqua Florida wedding from pure7studios is that and more! From the gorgeous location of Rosemary Beach, to fun, personal details, this wedding is BOUND to inspire you! The lovely bride, Sloan, is sharing some of her insight with us, so be sure to take note of her advice!

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Pictures helped me the most, in addition to my sister, who had been married in Rosemary Beach two years prior. I think it also helps that we’ve been vacationing in that area for 15 years, so we’re very familiar with it. Our day-of wedding coordinator with The Eventful Planner was also awesome!

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

For us, the most important thing was quality. We were price concious, but didn’t necessarily choose the cheaper vendor. I had a picture in my mind of how I wanted our wedding to be, and I chose the vendors that could match my vision.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

Originally, I had chosen all nude colors. And then I ordered a bathing suit for our wedding week, and it was orange and turquoise and I just had a moment. I suddenly knew that I wanted our wedding to be bright and different. Casual without being cheesy. Each and everyone of our vendors did a fantastic job at achieving the kind of sophisticated beach bbq vibe we were going for.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

The decor. Christina with Nouveau is literally a miracle worker. We did an open tent with lighting, couches everywhere, amazing linens, pillows, etc and it was a wonderland.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Stay true to what YOU want, not what everyone else thinks you should have. We did everything exactly the way we wanted to, and it turned out perfectly. Imitation is the highest form of flattery and two of our best friends are getting married in Rosemary this year, because they loved our wedding so much, and it would have never been so beautiful or perfect with all of the wonderful vendors that made it as such.

Everything that Sloan said- it just makes me so happy! From her changing her colors to a more bright, bold palette, to her reminder to stay true to yourself- such amazing advice!

So what do you think about this bright, bold color palette? Will you be using bright colors for your own wedding, or are you going a more subdued route? (PS- I LOVE the branded sunglasses, don’t you?! Perfect for an outdoor wedding!!)

A little bit from Emily Grace Design about this inspiration:

The original premise of the shoot was to disguise a surprise 30th birthday party that I was throwing for my fiance, Brian. I decided to throw him a surprise birthday party at our house, and at the same time create an inspiration shoot for an elegant and intimate backyard type of reception, and it was the perfect way to not make Brian suspicious of the set-up! Because our location was lake front with great trees and foliage, I wanted to play off the rustic and woodland type feel of the setting, but I did want to show that such a setting can incorporate elegant touches. I also wanted to keep the colors and theme more masculine since it was essentially a birthday for a 30 year old man. I liked the idea of taking navy blue, ivory, and gold and using the color scheme in a woodland type theme. As I was searching for inspiration, I was really only finding those colors in a nautical type setting, but I really liked the warmth and masculinity that it portrayed, and that it offered a touch of class.

I love seeing the navy and gold together, and in a style that isn’t nautical! It’s such a great color combination! (And I absolutely love that Emily “disguised” an actual party as a the inspiration shoot- that is definitely something I would do!)

So what do you think of this take on navy and gold? Are any of you using these colors for your own wedding?

This rustic yellow wedding, captured by Jen and Chris Creed, is high on charm and good looks, and big into personal details.  It features a ceremony officiated by the bride’s father, the cake topper from the bride’s grandparents’ wedding, and favors of syrup the bride’s family has made for years! The bright colors are perfect for springtime too!

From the bride:

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Oliver and I got married at Historic Cedarwood in Nashville, TN, which is an all-inclusive wedding venue with talented designers and wedding planners on staff. I had a couple of meetings with the Cedarwood staff to set the theme and tone of what we wanted our day to be like. I did most of the details on my own, however. I spent tons of time flipping through magazines, searching online, and of course, shopping on Etsy. My husband actually joked, that I needed to put a note on the bottom of our wedding program that said, “This event was sponsored by Etsy.”

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

The most important thing for us on that day, was being surrounded by people who were fun and easy. We wanted everything to be as relaxed and comfortable as possible.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

I wanted the day to be elegant, but with a twist of backyard fun. We set up lawn games during the cocktail hour to lighten the mood and create a sense of relaxed celebration.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

My favorite thing about our wedding was having my Dad officiate our ceremony. It was really special to have his blessing over us.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

I would just tell brides to try and relax and soak in every minute of your special day. You will forget to do something, or some detail will be missed, but at the end of the day you are married to your best friend, and it will have been the best day of your life!

I just love all the fun touches this wedding has to offer, and how they go so well with the venue’s distinctive features. How will you incorporate your personalities into your wedding details? How will they mesh with your venue’s details?
