What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

My husband was there every step of the way! He was there for me through the whole planning process. He helped with everything!  I’m sure he would have rather been working on his Jeep or tinkering in the garage, but he was always there when I needed him. Also, my friend Kathy helped a ton! She helped make my vision a reality.  She knew I wanted rustic and colorful and she made it happen. I couldn’t be more thankful for her help before, during, and after the wedding!

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

I did a lot of research before choosing my vendors.  It was very important to me to read good reviews and learn from other brides experiences.  I also felt that it was important to “click” with my vendors so that I could enjoy my day and be worry-free.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

I am originally from East Tennessee so I’m a southern girl.  That is also where I met my husband so it has a special place in my heart for that reason as well.  I knew I wanted a rustic feel and I loved the idea of using mason jars.  I loved burlap, doilies and pretty fabric.  I loved wildflowers and pastel colors.  I knew the direction I wanted to go and “pinning” on Pinterest really got my creative juices flowing!  

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

My very favorite thing was marrying the love of my life.  I had only dreamed of walking down the aisle and when it finally happened and I saw him at the end waiting on me I knew there couldn’t be a more perfect moment.  The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and the breeze was just right.  I will never forget the moments leading up to our union and the precious memories of celebrating our marriage with our families.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Enjoy every single moment.  Enjoy the wedding planning process.  It was stressful at times, but I loved it.  Enjoy your wedding day.  Slow down and soak in every detail.  It goes by in a blink on an eye, but the memories last forever.  Oh, and don’t sweat the small stuff.  Everything will be just fine!
