As a serious “Gilmore Girls” fan, I cannot even talk about my level of excitement for the release of “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life”. I’m convinced that when Carole King starts to sing “Where You Lead I Will Follow”, I will cry. But I know my level of excitement is matched by so many others throughout the world, including the creative forces behind today’s gorgeous Gilmore Girls wedding inspiration shoot!

V List Members Tonia of Aribella Events and Ashley of Ashley Gerrity Photography planned their shoot around the idea of a double Gilmore wedding with nods of classic, rustic, and vintage styles. Y’all, this is basically the dream of fans everywhere! Such a monumental wedding would, of course, need to take place in Stars Hollow complete with the beloved gazebo, and I love that the team of wedding pros found the perfect venue, The Washington at Historic Yellow Springs, just outside of Philadelphia. Felt and paper flowers were mixed together for Lorelai’s bouquet (a nod to her whimsical style), and Rory’s bouquet was complete with a book (a nod to her love for reading and her grandfather). Of course a shoot would not be inspired by Lorelai and Rory if coffee wasn’t included, and the coffee bean topped cake by House of Clarendon is the perfect piece! There is so much more I could say about this shoot, but you will just have to take a peek for yourself. Where you lead, I will totally follow.

[Bonus: You can see more of this shoot featured with our friends at Burnett’s Boards too!]

Justin and Rachel’s beautiful North Carolina wedding at Summerfield Farms is the epitome of rustic, summer, and happiness! Rachel adores sunflowers, and that love was the main point of inspiration while she and Justin were working with our incredible V List Member Leigh Pearce.

While planning, Leigh presented some of the prettiest ideas to florist Amy Lynne Originals, and it’s safe to say she knocked every detail out of the park! The bouquets and centerpieces were filled with roses, sunflowers, peonies, hydrangeas and more in a pink, yellow, ivory, and blue palette, plus Leigh styled all of the escort cards on a sunflower flower wall that turned into the perfect place to take selfies.

Guests boarded a hayride to the ceremony where a custom chuppah made by the groom’s mom looked stunning as it was perched over R+J while they recited their vows. Post ceremony, guests boarded the hayride again, except this time their ride was complete with champagne!

Between the happy sunflowers, heartfelt details, and incredible dessert display by Maxie B’s (y’all, just you wait!), we could not love Leigh or Alexa’s Photography more for planning, capturing, and sending us such a fabulous day to share with you!

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Our wedding planner, Leigh Pearce, was the biggest help in keeping me organized and up to date on everything. I would have completely forgotten half of my things to do without her! She also took a lot of the stress away by piecing things together one chunk at a time. On the day of, Leigh was the big help again, stepping in to take care of any last minute changes (including a chuppah holder!). All of my bridesmaids were helpful the day of as well, keeping me distracted and full, no one wants a hangry bride! I also loved working with Alexa from Alexa’s photography. She did an amazing job directing us for photos before and after the wedding and keeping everything running smoothly, especially during family drama!

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

I needed to work with fun, organized, and upbeat people. I know that I am indecisive, and having people to work with who were able to take charge but also guide me into making decisions was wonderful.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

I absolutely love sunflowers and wanted them to be the main flower, but not too overpowering. Fortunately, Amy Lynne was awesome for showing us how to soften the sunflowers but still have that pop. I knew that with using sunflowers, it just had to provide a bright, airy, whimsical and cheerful feeling for the whole day.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

My husband and I didn’t write vows, but we did write a letter to talk about our relationship and how we fell in love. I absolutely loved standing under the chuppah and listening to the letter my husband, Justin wrote. It was absolutely perfect.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Working with a wedding planner was amazing. There were so many things that I did not know I needed to do that she helped plan. She was also a wonderful resource to find all the amazing vendors we worked with. I cannot recommend that highly enough! Pinterest is awesome, but it is overwhelming. Once you have an idea of what you like, stop searching or else you will begin to second guess yourself.

Today’s whimsical, rustic Fall wedding inspiration is the perfect way to bridge the fall and winter seasons together on Every Last Detail! There’s also simply nothing like the gorgeous light found in Northern California – I’m obsessed. Designer Erika Eliante was inspired by figs and fall, and it shows through her beautiful use of the fruits themselves as well as a lovely palette of deep purple, gold, ivory, green with pops of peach, blush, and burgundy. The Floranthropist  florals have a just-picked feel, and I’m safely obsessed with the bride’s incredible rose and eucalyptus flower crown! Y’all, if you’re searching for wedding hair inspiration, her style is the one! Furs, a farm table from The Haven Collective, and a fall menu allow fall and winter to collide in this wonderfully warm shoot captured by Essence Photography; make sure to take a peek!

With a fresh color palette and lots of citrus details, this old Florida inspired wedding captured by Marissa Moss Photography is one for the books! Sage and orange is such a sweet color combination for a springtime wedding and was perfect for this D.C. couple getting married in Winter Park, Florida. They wanted an elegant Florida feel, so orange and citrus details were a must! We love the orange crate centerpieces created by Bluegrass Chic and the cute calligraphy orange place cards. The result is a timeless and chic vibe with an authentic Florida touch, and we think you’re going to love it just as much as we do!

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Mark and I live in D.C. and we got married in my hometown of Winter Park, FL so having my family in the area was extremely helpful throughout the planning process.  They were able to meet with our vendors when we couldn’t make it down to Florida.  The days leading up to the wedding, our families and friends were so amazing and stepped in to help us finish up decorations and run last minute errands.  Some of the best (and most stressful) times of our wedding was tying ribbons for name cards, painting signs, and building chocolate boxes until late at night with family and friends.  It took lots of wine, laughing and maybe a few tears to get everything done but we were so thankful for everyone’s help! Our vendors also went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly on our special day!

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

It was really important to find vendors who had great reputations and could bring my ideas to life! We didn’t have a wedding planner so most of the inspiration came from ideas or pictures I found but I wasn’t sure how everything would come together.  All of our vendors transformed my ideas and made our wedding day so special!  I also knew the day would fly by and wanted to make sure we had the perfect photographer (which we did!) to capture the moments that went by so quickly!

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

We really like simple/elegant designs and wanted our wedding to have a “Florida” feel so we incorporated a lot of fresh oranges and greenery in our decorations and flower arrangements.  Our florist did such a wonderful job bringing my vision to life by using stained orange crates and terra cotta pots for our table center pieces.  She helped me select flowers that were both elegant and had a pop of orange to fit in with our design.  We also loved that our venue had huge windows looking out to big mossy oak trees which made a great scenery for our photos.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

We had so many favorite moments from our wedding day, it’s really hard to choose one thing! I loved when my husband, along with our wedding party got to see the reception room while the guests were at cocktail hour.  It’s a crazy feeling to see the finished product after all the hard work we put in over the past year and a half! My favorite thing about our wedding was having all of our friends and family there to celebrate with us!  Our guests traveled from all over the country to come to our wedding and it meant so much to have everyone together for our special day. We were all having such a great time, we ended up extending our reception a half an hour to continue the party!

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

I’m sure all brides hear this at some point but it’s true that the day truly flies by!  I recommend a great photographer because we loved to relive the day and see the special moments through our pictures! Just remember what the day is about and don’t sweat the small things.  Something may go wrong but the guests probably won’t even notice so enjoy the day with your new husband and guests!
