Today’s photo shoot is inspired by whimsy, gardens, and a couple’s love of travel! As I perused all of the beautiful photos of these travel inspired wedding ideas captured by Laura Watson Photography, I couldn’t help but feel as though each and every detail included was so thoughtfully captured and curated.

Cator Woolford Gardens served as the ultimate venue in Atlanta because it feels like a destination. The beautifully manicured grounds are wild enough to match the whimsy in all of the details while also adding to the travel theme. The bohemian bouquet and centerpieces created by Amanda Jewel Floral + Design combined with the fantastic layout envisioned by eMBee Events help to make the space one a couple and their guests would never want to leave.

Compasses complete with calligraphy by Laura Hooper Calligraphy served as escort cards, the Alee & Press stationery presents a fantastic welcome for guests traveling in from out of town, and the Peche Petite Boutique Bakery cake is a piece of art. To put it simply, you must take a peek at the gorgeousness created by an epic group of talented Atlanta wedding pros, and prepare to swoon over the bride’s crop top dress!

Organic & Romantic Backyard Wedding

A backyard wedding has never looked so carefree and magical as Johanna and Chris’s dreamy and romantic wedding from Lily + Mint Floral and Event Design. Captured by Roseann Bath Photography, this wedding is full of charming personal details you can’t help but love. The groom is a chef, so obviously fabulous food was a top priority, complete with an amazing feast of organic food and wines provided by close family friends. Tables were named for the couple’s favorite herbs and flowers (such a great idea!), and table signage was beautifully painted by the bride’s artist grandmother. There was even a DIY flower crown station so guests could have fun making crowns and boutonnieres of their own! We think you will enjoy reliving this beautiful day just as much as we did!

If you’ve always dreamed of a simple, elegant, and love filled wedding day, Jason and Jenn’s Baltimore wedding from Susie & Becky will have you falling hard. The historic Liriodendron Mansion is the perfect backdrop for this springtime affair- you absolutely must see the columned backyard patio! It is a dream reception location with such a classic look that you can’t help but love! The couple kept things light and airy with a soft pink and white color palette, accenting the beautiful location perfectly. And of course Jason and Jenn were sure to add some special touches, including a wooden table as their guest book that they now have in their home.

Classic Blush & Lavender Texas Wedding

There’s something so special about Texas, y’all! Kelsey and Guy chose their beautiful Texas wedding venue, The Winfield Inn, just outside of Austin because it reminded the pair of his family’s property in Mississippi. They adored the rustic and vintage charm of their locale, and so do we! Plus, the soft shades of pastels and lavender served as their wedding palette, and they were the perfect colors to accent their vintage details. The oak trees and gazebo provided a gorgeous backdrop for their ceremony, and their flower girls and pup ring bearers were simply adorable. An Alfred Angelo dress that was the perfect choice for Kelsey, beautiful bridesmaids, and one stunning couple who trusted and adored each of their wedding professionals make this soiree captured by Kelly Hornberger Photography one that you simply cannot miss!

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

I handled most of the details, I was blessed to already know an amazing photographer (Kelly Hornberger) and my wedding venue had connections with amazing other vendors. My stand end wedding planner (since I opted not to throw one in the budget) was actually my DJ J.J. Essen, using his vast experience he was more than helpful in planning out the overall sequence of events for the big day.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

For me it was all about their portfolios (to know that their style meshed with what I had envisioned) and most importantly I wanted someone who made me feel at ease and was not pushy when it came to decisions.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

The very first detail I decided on was my wedding dress. I fell in love with it in the salon and from there the venue we selected resembled my husband’s property in Mississippi, after visiting the Winfield Inn we were sold by its vintage charm. The other details built around the style and feel of the venue. A soft rustic/vintage feel.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

Marrying the love of my life of course!!! My favorite part of the planning process was the ability to be creative and tie in little odds and ends that really made the day unique and personal to me and Guy.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Don’t stress about the little things. It’s great to plan everything down to last petal scattered down the isle, the tedious little things were my favorite. But as long of you have experienced vendors you can trust, it’s not their first rodeo and everyone will pull together to ensure your wedding day is picture perfect.
