If you’ve been wondering how to blend your love of country chic into a boho wedding style, this wedding from the fab Long Aisle Events is going to show you how! With plenty of cowboy hats and a cow hide aisle runner, the Southern country vibes are absolutely covered. Then add in an overload of OMG stunning florals by Coopers Wayside (hello statement bouquet!), and the boho feels are going strong. The combo is a fresh and chic celebrations of color for this Dade City, Florida fete. Our favorite detail is ceremony backdrop which featured a floral covered giant oak tree at Stonebridge Weddings and Events. What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
My mom, Mille Bolin; our wedding planner, Alexa Kritis; and my husband, Jacob Ming. There is no way I could have done ANY of it without them!
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
I wanted to make sure who ever we were working with had a clear vision of what we wanted for our special day. Our style and preferences are very true and genuine to who we are and the way we were raised. There was lots of detail put into every aspect of our ceremony, decor and reception. I needed to be sure that whoever I was working with understood that no detail was less important than any of the others. Alexa created the most perfect team of vendors for our day and our vision. Everyone was seamlessly in sync with our desires and visions.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
We wanted our wedding to be completely authentic to who we are as individuals and as a couple. The inspiration for our wedding was just that, ourselves and our lives.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
My favorite thing about our wedding was that Jacob and I got to celebrate our love and our commitment to each other in front of our loved ones in our own unique way. We had an intimate unity ceremony that we came up with together; the most beautiful, Christ centered vows that were written for us by my grandfather, who was also the officiant of our ceremony and an extremely special memorial gazebo to honor our loved ones who were only there in spirit. The sentimental details from our wedding day will always mean the most.
What is your best piece of advice for other couples?
Your wedding day is supposed to be what dreams are made of, and the most perfect day for you and your partner, but do not lose sight of the reason for everything, your love for one another. As long as you keep that in perspective everything will work out beautifully.
Insight from Alexa of Long Aisle Events:
The day before Christmas 2018, Mother of the Bride Millie called me and said “We need you to plan Tay and Jacob’s wedding, we’re having 500 people on April 6”, I say, “Great! April 6, 2020?” Mama Millie says, “nononono April 6, 2019!”
As soon as I got back from the holidays, we jumped right into planning. We used the following words to describe Taylor and Millie’s vision for this wedding – modern, refined, boho-chic country. There were lots of bright colors, a cow hide aisle runner with hides from all members of the family, a custom brand with Taylor and Jacob’s logo branded at ceremony, and a memorial gazebo honoring family members. We planned this entire wedding in a record time of 3 months. I couldn’t imagine doing it with sweeter and more gracious families than the Bolin and Ming’s. They literally are the reason we were able to put a wedding for 500 together in 90 days. It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of this day and is one I will hold so near and dear to my heart.
