I can’t even begin to express how much I LOVED this wedding captured by Caroline & Evan Photography. Not only did I actually attend this whimsical Florida wedding, but I am proud to say I am also the bride’s loving sister. Lindsey and Jonny said their “I do’s” in the picturesque downtown St. Petersburg at the beautiful Fine Arts Museum. The venue however, was not the only jaw dropper. The loving couple looked fabulous, with Lindsey in her all lace gown, and Jonny looking sharp in his tux. The love shared between them was undeniable. From the lush- and quite stunning- centerpieces, to the creative handmade elements, the wedding of Lindsey and Jonny certainly stole my heart and I hope it steals yours too… enjoy!
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
There were a number of people who helped me during the wedding planning process and on the wedding day, and I definitely could not have done it without heir help – you cannot do it on your own, no matter how organized you are – that is my advice on brides-to-be… Enlist help! Delegate with a capital D, and just realize that you cannot control everything and thats okay!
The biggest helpers were my mom and sister as well as Kelly Hancock of Kelly Hancock Events. If you are planning ANYTHING from a birthday party to a wedding, hire Kelly… she is incredible. She went above and beyond for me and still keeps in touch with me and my hubby by sending little cards every now and again. She’s such a gem.
Finally, I would be amiss if I didn’t mention my father and, now in-laws, who helped Jonny and I find the perfect Rabbi for our ceremony.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
Interestingly, when I found out that Kelly Hancock has a background in counseling I became even more compelled to hire her for help in the wedding planning process. I thought, “wedding planning is stressful, stress is an emotion, who best to help manage a person through that stress than a wedding planner with a background in counseling?” Truly brilliant business model if you ask me! I think this background is what allows her to handle the most challenging situations so well.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
My inspiration came from a variety of sources. Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine (I fell in love with a wedding featured in the magazine and wanted to recreate it’s floral concept). Flowers in general. JCrew’s line of bridesmaid dresses, I love the simple elegance. And finally The Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, our venue, provided inspiration in and of itself. For instance, having our ceremony in the garden led me to a sort of Fairy Tale Garden theme.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
You cannot do it on your own, no matter how organized you are! Enlist help, delegate with a capital D, and just realize that you cannot control everything and that’s okay! Set a deadline for things and don’t second guess yourself once decisions are made! You’re ideas are amazing!
Well thats a wrap! Without fail this one is and always will be my absolute favorite!
Vendors who made it all happen…
