WHY DO YOU SEE YOURSELF AS BEING MODERN, VINTAGE, CLASSIC, OR ECLECTIC?

I see myself as a mix between Modern and Classic because I believe in balance. I like to keep up with all the latest styles- in clothing, home decor, styling and decoration. I love everything white. However, I hate the word- trend/trendy. That’s because fads and trends come and go. Tends categorize things into certain time frames and eras, and even though sometimes it’s very nice to be able to get transformed into a different decade by simply doing your hair differently and putting on a specific outfit, classic never goes out of style. Since I’m a photographer, and photographs are memories that will last through many, many fads and trends, I want to leave them feeling timeless and classic. So no matter the trend, I believe it needs to balanced with just the right amount of classic.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WEDDING DETAIL YOU’VE EVER SEEN OR CREATED?

I love everything nature inspired and organic. My favorite would have to be wooden chandeliers with lots of greenery on it arranged like a wreath.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE STORE OR BRAND?

This is a really hard one. I adore Restoration Hardware. I love everything about the styling of that store and the vibe it gives off. As far as clothing, I love Nordstrom, J.Crew, BCBG and Anthropology.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT WEDDINGS?

All the emotions! The maid of honor/sister tearing up while bride gets ready, the dad who can barely hold himself together before walking his daughter down the isle, the groom’s face when he sees her for the first time, the mother/son dance, the giggly bride, the cheering guests, the emotional toasts- all of that makes the wedding day so so special.

WHAT QUALITIES DO YOU POSSESS THAT ENABLE YOU TO WORK WELL WITH BRIDES AND GROOMS?

I have a very outgoing personality, I make couples feel very comfortable around me. I’m a positive person, so even when things don’t go as planned during the day, I help keep the bride happy and calm. I’m also really respectful- towards parents, relatives, traditions, customs, wedding planners and so forth, making sure everyone enjoys being around me.

WHAT STEPS DO YOU TAKE TO ENSURE THAT YOUR CLIENTS WILL HAVE AMAZING WEDDING DAYS WHEN WORKING WITH YOU?

I try not to interfere too much during the day, so that the couple can just focus on enjoying themselves while I grab all the shots I need. My main goal is to capture all those precious and genuine emotions- that’s what I want my couples to remember from their wedding. I capture the atmosphere. I want my couples with their children and grandchildren to look through their wedding photos and be able to feel what the day was like. I also meet/Skype with the couple before the wedding and explain to them when is the best time to take pictures, how much time we’ll need and how we can ensure that they get the best possible photos from their day.

  1. Chelsea (a Bride)

Is it really $35,000-$70,000?? Or is it a typo and it’s supposed to day $3,500-$7,000? Beautiful photos!

Chelsea, the $35,000-$70,000 is the price range of the WHOLE wedding, not just the vendor. :)
