I am so excited to introduce you all to this week’s Vendor of the Week… Kismis Ink Photography! Kismis Ink is a husband and wife photography duo, and they are pretty amazing. Mariana and Khaled are not only two of the best people ever, they’re also pretty darn good photographers! Let’s check out some of their work and get to know them a bit better…
Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?
We consider our photography style best described as eclectic. We are inspired by many different elements and see a unique beauty in every love story. Our eclectic style merges the best of our inspiration with the diverse styles of our couples.
What is your favorite wedding detail you’ve ever seen or created?
Khaled’s favorite wedding detail were the centerpieces from a recent destination wedding in Georgia. The theme of the wedding was ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and the towering floral centerpieces with unique tea cups and trinkets were absolutely exquisite.
My favorite wedding detail has to be a recent bride’s wedding gown. With the help of her mother and mother-in-law they altered and added her own flair to the gown and made it uniquely hers
What is your favorite store or brand?
Khaled: Express and Apple (yes, he just had to put two because he can’t survive without either).
Mariana: Too many favorites to list, but I could live in an Anthropologie store for the rest of my life.
What advice do you have for a newly engaged bride?
Before making any vendor selections, be clear on what your wedding theme or style will be. Find inspiration not only within the wedding industry, but also within yourself. Pinterest.com is one of my favorite (and most addictive) places to get inspired. Think outside the box and find a focus. The details will all fall into place as you go along, and knowing your style will help you choose your vendors accordingly.
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
As wedding photographers, we have the pleasure of experiencing the celebration of love in endless unique ways. Each couple selects the delicate details of their special day based on their very own style and vision-that is my favorite part of documenting weddings.
