You guys. This wedding has SO much sweet, southern charm. From burlap to mason jars… but it doesn’t stop there. I love that the bride and groom also incorporated a BBQ-themed menu and capped the night off with s’mores for the guests. Seriously, not only does Kelsey and Edward’s wedding have all of those fun, southern details, but you can feel the life and love (hello high school sweethearts!) in every single photo from Graham Terhune.
From Graham, the photographer:
The bride and groom planned the entire event while juggling law school (her) and medical school (him.) They are high school sweethearts who have waited patiently for the perfect time to get married. Their celebration took place at Rock Quarry Farm on the most beautiful October afternoon. They sky was carolina blue (perfectly suiting for the two tarheel alums.) Kelsey and Edward planned the details themselves and they were perfect for the two of them. They served carolina bbq and had a bluegrass band (during the cocktail hour.) Rather than cutting a cake they had a dessert bar with desserts made from their aunts and grandmothers. We were captivated by the tremendous amount of joy that surrounded their day. Everyone was ecstatic that these two local North Carolinians were finally getting married.
You’ll never not hear me tell you how much I love personality and character in a wedding. It seriously is one of the biggest components that makes a wedding memorable for not only you, but your guests too!
What personal details are must haves for your big day?

Brit

I liked the simplicity of this whole wedding – always looks more enjoyable when things are simple. Perfect summer wedding.
