What do you get when you have two creatives getting married who want to have a wedding their own way? An amazing eclectic fête filled with sparkles, gorgeous blush florals, hamburgers and fries, and temporary tattoos- just to name a few things. This Smog Shoppe wedding captured by Let’s Frolic Together is definitely one that you don’t want to miss!
From Let’s Frolic Together…
Chris and Michelle are such genuine shining stars. They are two creative talents working in the industry, and full of such silly energy. I love these two—they way they love each other with excitement and high fives and giggles and hope. Their day started out getting ready at the snazzy W Hotel and led to the gorgeous succulent-filled magical venue that is SmogShoppe. Blushes and sparkles and tattoos and street taco carts… yup, this wedding was magic. I love that they eschewed some traditions they weren’t vibing with (no wedding party) but hung onto some tender ones that they did (the chuppah made from her grandmother’s lace). I love that they ended their vows with “thank you for marrying me.” I love that they both cried somethin’ fierce when they saw each other. I love that they had a tattoo shop at their wedding (don’t worry moms, they were temporary). I love that laughing while working it on the dance floor was just par for the course. I love that their incredible appreciation for the people they love and the support they provide is so obviously mutual. From her grandmother’s vintage bracelet to his grandfather’s tie pin. From her BHLDN dress to his amazing tattoos. A magical, dreamy, urban garden day!
This is most certainly one of the coolest weddings I’ve seen yet! I don’t know about you, but I definitely wish I had been a guest at this amazing Smog Shoppe wedding!
I love that Chris and Michelle chose to not partake in some of the typical wedding traditions. Are you doing anything to forego some traditions for your own wedding? I’d love to hear what you’re doing- or rather, not doing!
