Gorgeous florals and a soft, romantic style play an integral part in making this vintage garden wedding from Concept Photography absolutely stunning! Taking place at the beautiful Ryckman Park in Florida, expansive oak trees, a glimmering river, and gorgeous sunset were the perfect setting for Jamie and Adam’s outdoor wedding they had always envisioned. Jamie is here with us today to tell us more about her wedding…

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Our wedding planner Karry Castillo with Uniquely Yours was a major part of the planning process and wedding day. She made sure the planning went smoothly during the months leading up to the event and helped make our day perfect. She used her expertise to direct us while still allowing the wedding to be our own ideas and inspiration. I highly recommend using a wedding planner!

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

We were lucky to stumble upon our amazing photographers while painstakingly browsing the web for wedding inspiration. I loved the way they captured couples naturally without looking too posed. They referred us to our wedding planner and after meeting with her we knew she would make our vision come to life. Each vendor after that was selected carefully based on who would fit the theme best.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

I have always loved the vintage theme that has become popular with weddings this past year but I wanted it to be unique as well. I would say our wedding was a cross between romantic and vintage. There is so much beauty in simplicity so we kept the colors neutral and just let the outdoor scenery shine. The skeleton keys used for the escort tags were the first things I had to have and everything else fell into place from there.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

There were so many favorites that I had during my wedding day. I loved the antique doors that were used for the ceremony in place of an arch. Our flowers were so whimsical and they were everything I ever imagined them to be. The whole day was pretty magical.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

My best advice for other brides would be to really live in the moment on your wedding day. The time that you spent planning brings you to this one day that you get to marry the one you love. My husband and I promised each other that we would take in all of the details and not leave each other’s side all day/night long or get caught up in formalities. We kept our promise.

Oh I LOVE Jamie’s advice to stick together during your wedding day. As odd as it seems, you certainly can get split up between the dancing and talking to guests, so consciously making an effort to stay by one another’s side is a great idea!

Have you and your future spouse talked about how you will enjoy your wedding day? Anyone married already and have any advice to share for enjoying your wedding day to the fullest? Comment below! :)

    Shannon Walsh,
The bridesmaid dresses were from the design Bill Levkoff style 329 in champagne. The girls loved them. They were very light and the corset backs made them a good fit! I have attached the link and style number for you: http://www.billlevkoff.com/style/bridesmaid-dress/329 .
Thank you for the kind comments! Hope this helps :)
