This romantic burgundy and blush wedding is absolute perfection. A chic, elegant style, stunning florals, and a bride and groom who are head-over-heels in love all make for one stunning Miami wedding, and lucky for us, the fabulous Shea Christine Photography was there to capture all of the beauty! The gorgeous bride, Allie, is here with us today sharing insight into her wedding planning journey…
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
Having an incredible photographer was number one on my vendor list. Someone who has a creative eye and can capture unexpected details. We found those things and so much more in Shea! She is as darling and she is talented.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
My favorite thing about our wedding ended up being what I was most nervous about – walking down the aisle and having all eyes on me. It was such an iconic moment to walk down the aisle arm and arm with my father and see the love of my life waiting for me at the altar. I remember telling my Dad to slow down so I could soak it all in. It was the happiest, most magical moment of our wedding!
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
Vincent and I didn’t have a theme per se, but when I envisioned our wedding, it would have a romantic, whimsical feel with a mixture of neutral and deep berry colors to kick off the fall season.
Considering I’d be marrying into an enormous Italian family and would be going on an Italian honeymoon, I wanted to incorporate some Italian elements in our wedding. Bottled homemade limoncello served as both our escort cards and our favors made by my now, mother in law. Molto bene!
I am a jewelry designer (by night) and designed our own napkin rings for our sweetheart table. The same Cranberry Quartz stones were used in the pieces of jewelry I designed for my bridesmaids.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
Don’t be last for hair and makeup. I was surprisingly calm the day of our wedding after months of agonizing over details. All of my bridesmaids and I were having so much fun together that no one was really keeping track of time. So when it was finally came time for me to get my hair and makeup done, I was a bit rushed and my girls threw my in my wedding dress and thankfully got me out the door in one piece!
Allie’s advice is a great tidbit to remember! You don’t always have complete control over how your wedding day will go, but you can definitely try to do what you can to ensure things will run smoothly.
