Metallics are very on trend for weddings in 2016 and the upcoming 2017. They can be paired with bold, deep colors to create striking palettes that can be carried across everything- from the décor, to the wedding party outfits to even the food. If you’re considering embracing the metallic trend, we’ve gathered some of our favorite some metallic wedding theme inspiration for you!
Red & Gold
Perfect for a winter wedding, bold reds and strong gold metallics perfectly complement one another to create a festive theme- ideal if you’re saying “I do” in December. You could dress your bridesmaids in bright red dresses and incorporate gold into their bouquets with gold sprayed thin branches with bright red roses and green foliage. Or, do the opposite and dress your girls in sparkling gold dresses, with red bouquets!

The saying “all that glitters is gold” can definitely applies here, and it’s the perfect opportunity to incorporate a little sparkle into your theme. Something like glittered bottles for your tables are a great idea and work well when paired with bold red floral arrangements and gold accents. Here’s a tutorial for this look if you fancy some DIY action, which teaches you how to bedazzle champagne bottles, plus you can maybe get your bridesmaids and family members involved!
Silver & Green (and a little pink too!)

No, we’re not celebrating Slytherin house with this theme, but emerald green and silver work perfectly together for a wedding theme. Opt for dark greens when it comes to bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen ties, as well as featuring plenty of foliage in bouquets and boutonnieres. If you don’t want to settle for these two colors, a dusky pink works beautifully as a complementary shade to include in your flowers and linens. Whether you choose to have green or silver dominating the color scheme – one shade must be injected subtly and the other dominates – you can’t go wrong with this theme.
Blush and Bronze

If you’re a big fan of rose gold – perhaps you’re wearing an on-trend rose gold engagement ring right now – then this theme is for you and perfectly brings together these colors that work perfectly together for a blush and bronze color palette. Bridesmaids will look beautiful in blush pink dresses while bronze ties work well for the groomsmen. Peach flowers and green foliage are essential for floral arrangements and bouquets and copper accessories on the tables – such as copper trays or bronze cutlery – will tie everything in to the theme.
Talk these themes over with your partner and wedding designer to see how they feel about incorporating them into your wedding, then choose the one that best reflects your style and mood for your big day. A blush and bronze themed wedding will more than likely be enjoyed by those who love on trend style and hip fashions, while a gold and red theme is great for traditionalists. And of course adding a metallic element with just about any color will always be beautiful!
