Today’s inspiration board is a color palette of blue and gold. An {ELD} reader emailed me asking for ideas and inspiration for her Nova Scotia wedding with this color palette. I chose to go with lighter blue tones for this board, which would be perfect for a spring or summer wedding. A darker hue of blue paired with gold would make for a great fall or winter wedding.
Combining blue and gold together gives you a modern flair with classic elegance. Gold paired with crystals and blue accents will make for a more elegant wedding, whereas using blue as a primary color and gold as an accent will give you a more modern feel.
Row 1: Champagne glasses, Candlelit reception, Lounge furniture, Ceremony chair
Row 2: Invitation, Bride and bridesmaids
Row 3: Gold bouquet, Hanging crystal escort cards, Blue and gold cake
I usually don’t care much for gold, but recently it’s been growing on me! I definitely think we’ll be seeing more gold in the coming year. Are any of you using gold in your wedding?

Wow – I’ve never been a fan of gold in color schemes before, but that works. I really like both the cakes!
Beautiful, I’ve noticed gold poppin’ too! I think it’s because retro and vintage are splitting into different sides…
Hooray my wedding colours!! Thank you for posting!
