Hi lovely ELD readers! I hope you all are enjoying this new year so far! I thought I would do a little intro for newly engaged readers, as well as share a few things coming to ELD in 2011! As you all might know, I am in the middle of a redesign. It started as just a few additions, and was supposed to be done by now, but silly old me kept having ideas and wanting to add to the redesign. So now it is pretty much a NEW design as opposed to the REdesign!

Things to know:

If you’re a new bride, CONGRATS on your engagement!! If you read ELD for just a week, you’ll see that I have pretty specific, focused posts. I try to keep to some sort of schedule for when I post weddings, inspiration, and tips, but most of all my main goal is to EDUCATE brides with all of my posts.

*I write posts based on my own experience as an absolutely clueless bride. I now work full time in the wedding industry, and I work with brides and at weddings weekly. I am candid and honest about things, and I tell it like it is. If something’s expensive, I’m going to tell you. Because I hated it when I had no idea about ANYTHING when I was planning my own wedding. On that note…please feel free to email me your questions! Seriously! I want to help you all more than anything! :)

*I don’t always post real weddings every single day, multiple times per day. Yes, this is a wedding inspiration blog, but it’s also a wedding planning blog. I only feature weddings that are realistic to brides and have awesome details. (Because not everyone has access to a gorgeous old barn to have a vintage rustic wedding.)

*If I post an inspiration shoot, it’s going to be because it has great details to inspire you. (And it won’t be so far out of a logical budget that you can’t use it for your own wedding inspiration.)

So what’s to come for 2011?

*MORE real weddings posted- which I’m starting to do RIGHT away!

*A completely new, awesome, and amazing design!

*A refined and informative vendor directory, unlike any other directory out there in cyberspace!

*Ways to find inspiration by colors and style!

*Interactive sections of ELD!

*Guides and downloads to help you in planning your wedding!

Phew, enough exclamation points for you? Can you tell I’m excited?! And all of that is just a glimpse at what’s coming! To all you fabulous brides: good luck in your wedding planning, and PLEASE don’t hesitate to ask for any advice or help! Wedding planning is FUN if you know the facts, and I’m here to tell you everything you need to know! :)

Thank you all for being such wonderful readers! Here’s to an amazing 2011 on ELD!!

Excited for you! And, happy to know there are other blogs not posting real weddings every day – some brides just need simple tips or small bits of inspiration here and there.

Wow, what a great post. I am so excited to see what’s in store for you this year – can you believe how far you’ve come since this time last year? Insane.

As always, I’m incredibly proud of you and brag about you to everyone.

Brilliantly written. I’m so excited and proud of all the action steps you’re taking! And like Brit said – happy to know that not every blog posts a real wedding every day. I like the inspirational and informational posts just as much as the real wedding features.
