Full of lush florals, gorgeous light, and elegant style, this pink and aqua Seattle wedding from Alante Photography is absolutely stunning! The happy couple, Jennifer and Joe, are here with us today sharing all about their wedding planning experience. Enjoy the beauty my friends- I know I will!
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
We had a longer engagement, over a year, and therefore lots of time to plan. From the bride’s perspective, I loved using the Real Simple Weddings planning book for ideas. The local Seattle Bride and Seattle Bride & Groom magazines were excellent references for how to organize a quintessential Seattle wedding, which was our goal.
On our wedding day, our Day-of-Coordinator, Rebecca Grant with New Creations Weddings, as well as Loren and Kimberly of Alante Photography, did an excellent job keeping everything moving according to schedule. We did not have to think about anything other than simply enjoying our special day with family and friends since everything happened exactly as we had planned.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
The most important thing in deciding about our vendors was whether we connected positively with them during the introductory meetings. Planning a wedding involves many people with whom you will be spending lots of time so it’s super important to work with people you genuinely like and trust.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
Our inspiration included greens, blues, and local flavors. We wanted to showcase the beauty of Seattle summers! There are so many wedding inspirations that each couple has to decide what makes the day unique for them.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
Our favorite thing about our wedding was everything! But especially seeing our friends and family gathered together in celebration of our love. We couldn’t have asked for a better day, for which we are very thankful!
What is your best piece of advice for other couples?
Our best advice is for couples to invest the money in an experienced, professional Day-of-Coordinator that has a good relationship with your other vendors. Making those key decisions will allow you to truly sit back, relax, and enjoy the entire wedding day. It’s a party, and it’s supposed to be fun!
Such wonderful insight and advice from Jennifer and Joe! I love how Seattle’s beautiful summer inspired their wedding design and details! And how fabulous were those table names?! Love them!
Are any of you going to be drawing your inspiration from a particular time of year? If so, which will it be- Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter?
Vendors who made it all happen…
