Well, I wanted to call this a “placecard”, but I suppose that’s not possible because these aren’t cards, right? So I guess it’s a “place holder” then. I love this for a placecard alternative. It’s perfect if you’re having a smaller wedding, and even more perfect if you’re having long feasting tables, for which assigned seating is sometimes a must. Oh, and these can double as your favors, which of course I’m all about- killing two birds with one stone!

I just love this! I think a bride and groom that I have who are having a small, intimate restaurant wedding will be using this idea for their guests. Just buy some inexpensive wine glasses, put on some chalkboard paint, and write the guests’ names on the glasses! A great little DIY project, and like I said before- it doubles as your favor too! I may just make myself one or two just for fun.

I LOVE these. What a cool idea. Does anyone know of chalk markers that are permanent? Or could you seal the chalkboard and marker somehow?
