In light of yesterday’s Thursday Tips post about assigned seating, I thought it was only fitting to do something having to do with seating for the Detail To Love. Some of you may have seen Kathryn of Snippet & Ink’s wedding. Well, she had escort buttons. Buttons- like what your brother’s baseball photo was on and your mom wore to games (please tell me I’m not the only one who remembers that and I’m not making it up lol). I think it’s brilliant. Especially with two different families coming together and friends who might not all know each other. Instant and chic name recognition, doubling as the thing to tell guests where they’re sitting!

Pretty darn awesome, right? Of course you have to have the right style of wedding and the right “crowd” to truly make these work. But I’m sure they’re SO much fun! And let my new escort obsession commence (if you’re kind of new to ELD, it used to be escort items, usually some sort of favor doubling as an escort card). Now who’s going to use these for their wedding? Come on, speak up, I know one of you is thinking about it! :)
[Weekend sidenote: Bridesmaids opens tonight. I was able to see it earlier this week at a screening, and it was awesome. No, wait, AWESOME. I dragged my husband to see it with me, and he is a huge movie buff, but in the “I-only-like-movies-with-blood-and-guts-or-political-documentaries” way. He also said it was awesome. It’s hilarious- definitely something to go see with your friends and/or your significant other! Have a great weekend everyone!]

I totally love that idea! oo! I love the way your comment message box looks too! Great design! The buttons are a really fun element, but i definitely agree you have to have the right crowd. Or the right bride who knows how to energize people… lol
I’ve loved those buttons for a while- so cute! And I can’t wait to see bridesmaids – even though it will be during a mommy and me screening with a bunch of babies (the only way I get to see movies these days!)
What a cute idea – the calligraphy makes these look much more elegant than I would have expected too! Thanks for the Bridesmaids review – it’s definitely on my short list of movies to catch!
I love this idea!! I can think of so many ways to dress it up or down. Think of the vintage touches. Drooling!
