The beautiful bride Amanda is here with us today to share more about her California wedding:
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
The most helpful person in planning my wedding was my wedding coordinator, Kelsey Connelly. I never knew how much went into planning a wedding. I work full time and didn’t live in the same area that I was having my wedding. It was great having someone to email an idea to and not just have her opinion on how to get it done or if it was a good idea but it was great to have her to help with all the vendors. She found my awesome, reliable vendors. Which also made everything easier.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
I took a lot of advice from my coordinator. She would give me her top picks for vendors than my husband and I would look to see which one fit us best. For me it was important to pick people who had a good reputation and had a good price too.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
Our wedding was a Spanish flaire wedding. First, Ed (my husband) and I had our first vacation together in Spain and we absolutely loved it. Second, Ed did not want a traditional menu. During a group food tasting the catering company had paella. Ed and I were sold and changing things to have a Spanish flaire.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
I loved everything about my wedding. My favorite thing was effortless the day was for Ed and I. Yes the food was great and the decorations wear beautiful. But I loved not having to stress or worry about anything and how calm it was going from one thing to another.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
If you are a busy person, get a coordinator. I honestly don’t know what I would have done. While I was working, she would be getting contracts, working with vendors, picking things up, etc. And have fun with it cause its your big day.
Oh Amanda’s advice is SO right! If you’re busy at all, get a professional to help you! I love that she and her husband were able to fully enjoy their wedding planning process and the whole wedding day because of this! :)
