Hi again everyone! So you know how I said that I have some special things for you all, since yesterday was my birthday and I can’t NOT celebrate things? Well this special thing is something that I’m also super nervous about. It’s something that I have literally been “sitting” on for about 2 months. And before that, it was in the works for about a year and half. So I figured what better time than my birthday to announce and celebrate it?!

Celebrating Birthdays, Next Steps & The Future! via TheELD.comI just had to share my gorgeous birthday cake, made by Cakes With A Kick!

Now, this isn’t really anything HUGE… but it’s a big step for me and my business. It’s the next step for me and preparation for the future. I kind of consider a good little birthday present. And no, I’m not pregnant, and no, ELD isn’t going anywhere. :)

Let me begin by telling a little story:

It was 3 years ago. I had just gotten married, and while planning my wedding, I thought I did everything the right way. But after my wedding, there were all these things that I realized had gone wrong. So I wanted to start a blog to prevent other brides from making the same mistakes. But I wanted to actually have knowledgable about the information that I wanted to blog about, so I signed up for a wedding planning class- it was my birthday present actually. After taking the class, I ended up “apprenticing” with an event decor company, which soon led to a full-time job. Craziness. If you had asked me 6 months prior if I would be a wedding planner and designer, I would have thought you were on drugs. It was during this time that I started Every Last Detail- with every intention of building the brand name to then start my own wedding planning business. Fast forward to the Spring of 2011. As I was gaining experience working within the industry, ELD became way more than a blog to help me propel a wedding planning business. It became a wedding blog. And not just any wedding blog- a blog known for providing tips and advice to brides in addition to the usual inspiration. THIS had become my passion. THIS was what I set out to do- help brides! In realizing this, I took a HUGE leap, and went full-time with ELD last year. As stressful as it is, it’s still SO rewarding and I am SO thankful that I did it- I wouldn’t have it any other way!

And so on my birthday yesterday, I was able to reflect on this little story. How very far I’ve come, and how I still have SO much more ahead of me. In these 3 years, I have not only established my mission to help and educate brides, but I have also developed a passion for educating wedding professionals and helping them to grow their businesses. And so, I am so very excited to present to you something that was created to encompass my passion for helping both brides and wedding professionals… Lauren Grove Interactive!

Lauren Grove Interactive is actually my legal business name (Every Last Detail is a DBA under LGI, for those of you interested). I think it took me so long to actually commit to a website for it because the past year has been such a time of growth and learning for me. (I even have had a blog post written for OVER a year about a small portion of what LGI offers for brides, Detail Design.) And the website itself has even been live for a while- it’s been my little secret corner of the internet! ;)

So brides, if you need help with your wedding, whether it’s knowing what to do and when to do it, or coming up with ideas for your details, I would love to help you! (And no, these services do not replace having a wedding planner!) And wedding pros, if you want help entering the world of social media or reaching brides, I’m your girl! :)

Go check out the beautiful website that my friend Cathy at Love-Inspired created! Thank you all for your wonderful support over the years… and now I am going to go have a slice of birthday cake to CELEBRATE! :)
