Hi friends! So I have some special things for you all today… after all, it was my birthday yesterday- you know I can’t let a day of celebration go by without some kind of celebrating here on ELD!
First, we’ll start with this AMAZING engagement session by Archetype Studio Inc! When I saw that Koby and Terilyn were going to Alaska, I was intrigued. After all, Alaska is absolutely GORGEOUS! Then, when they told me that they were going there to shoot an e-session in the Alaska mountains with the groom’s Army Blackhawk helicopter… I kind of flipped out. You see, my grandfather owned a “heliport” years ago, and my whole family spent lots of time there throughout my childhood. Not only that, but it was actually Army Blackhawks that stopped there to refuel the most often. I’m also pretty sure that’s one of the biggest factors for why my brother currently has a career in the Army. So to me, this session was so much more than just an amazing engagement shoot. And now I am so excited to be able to share all of this with you… it’s absolutely gorgeous!
A little bit from Koby of Archetype…
“The adventure started at our first consultation with this beautiful bride and her groom. She had an idea for her dream engagement shoot, and after describing it, we knew it had to be done. Alaska, amazing view from a mountain top, vintage dresses, her groom in his Army uniform and the blackhawk helicopter that he pilots. (Yes, please!)
It was going to be a unique situation for a shoot. With no ability to scout locations ourselves, the couple began visiting areas and sending us phone pics. They found the ideal location…high on a mountain top, with unbelievable views of the vast Alaskan wilderness. Seriously cool (in so many ways) to be headed to an area that is just a few hours drive from the Arctic Circle — for an engagement shoot!”
Is this not all AMAZING?! Not only are the images by Archetype absolutely gorgeous, but I love that they also give a glimpse into their life together, with the groom being a helicopter pilot. This is definitely something that they will never forget!
