Chelsea and PJ wanted something romantic, outdoors, and fun for their Atlanta wedding, and their gorgeous day certainly fulfilled all that and more! Shades of blush and peach accented the natural, rustic setting of the beautiful Barnsley Resort perfectly, creating a romantic, timeless design full of Southern elegance. Designed by Edge Design Atlanta and captured by Justen Clay Photography, this is one stunning wedding that you do not want to miss!
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
Other than my mom who was the best wedding helper I could have asked for, I would have to say that the wedding team at our venue helped me the most in the planning process. Barnsley Gardens had a wedding coordinator who worked hand in hand with myself and my mom as well as our florist/designer vendor (Edge design). They let us know what decisions needed to made and when and were a big help with vendor lists as well as day-of coordination. A great wedding coordinator is crucial for staying calm on the big day.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
Reviews were a big influence in who I chose to use for my wedding. I did a ton of googling. Good rapport with vendors was also very important. I wanted to use people who I thought understood my visions, were easy to get along with and could create the type of wedding that we wanted.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
I don’t know that I had a specific inspiration for my wedding design, but I know that I wanted a kind of “whimsical” wedding. Outdoor, natural, romantic, but FUN.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
I liked everything about my wedding, from the venue/location to the decor to the string quartet at the ceremony to the beautiful reception and sparkler send-off, but the best part about my wedding was the reception, specifically our band. We used ATL groove factory and they were phenomenal. Everyone had so much fun and we danced until the very last second. It was truly the most fun night of my life.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
My advice for other brides would be to enjoy your wedding day to the absolute fullest. A lot of brides get so panicked on the day of, trying to finish last minute details or fix issues that arise that day. Trust the planning process has been sufficient, and lean on your wedding planner/coordinator for the last minute details of the day. Soak up all of the love and support of everyone around you and just enjoy every minute of the big day! The day will go by in a blink of an eye. We stretched ours out to last a whole weekend and it still went by too fast. Sit back and relax and have fun on the happiest day of your life.
Such wonderful advice! I for one am LOVING the romance of this whole wedding design, aren’t you? It’s the perfect blend of fun, romance, and Southern elegance!
