This stunning blush wedding incorporated lovely shades of cranberry and maroon, all while taking place under the stars at the most beautiful California ranch venue. Add in some soft rustic details and tons of romance, and you have absolute perfection! Lucky for us, it was captured beautifully by Eyelet Images, and the gorgeous bride Sam is here with us today sharing about her planning experience.
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
My mother by far! She helped me through all the steps and made sure all the decisions we made would look cohesive and classy. She’s got great taste when it comes to design!
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
I wanted to like them as a person. I didn’t want anyone that I wouldn’t enjoy hanging out with involved in my wedding. The people you hire to work at your wedding are very important and can have an influence on the mood and tone – and I can truly say I loved all my vendors as individuals.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
My Pinterest board which had been in the works for a very long time, although I deleted a lot of outdated ideas and trends. My color scheme inspiration was: berry/burgundy, gold, ivory with touches of blush and the words to describe my vision were: rustic, clean, soft, lush and romantic.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
Besides getting to marry my best friend (so cliche), I loved that our wedding just felt like a huge family and friends reunion. It was a huge party with everyone we love where we got to have a great dinner and drink and dance the night away. What could be better?

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
Be organized and don’t skimp on the timeline. Having it is so crucial, and it really made it easy for all my vendors and wedding party to know when, where and what they needed to be doing. I documented some of my best pieces of advice (including a full timeline template) on my work’s blog here.
Also, remain calm and enjoy the day. A friend of mine at work told me to turn off my phone and have it packed. I did and it was great because I didn’t feel bothered and I was truly able to soak in all the greatness of the day.
I love Sam’s advice about the timeline- it really is SO important to have for your wedding day! And can we please talk about this gorgeous cranberry, maroon, and peach color palette?! I’m in love!
Vendors who made it all happen…
