This New Orleans wedding from Kate Byars Photography is awesome (but of course). Kate described the wedding for us… “Nick and Mara, two architects, wanted a kitschy New Orleans wedding, to reflect their personalities. They had a hard time being the center of attention so they decided to incorporate as much fun and funniness as possible into the wedding day so that their guests would be as much a part of the show as they were. From their Mardi Gras beaded get-away rickshaw to the 100s of mustaches, available to each and every guest at the photobooth area, the wedding was all about having a grand time!”
Oh, and let’s see what else is awesome about this wedding…peacock feathered shoes made by the bride, a pie bar, a New Orleans brass band, mustaches printed on the backs of all the programs, fun guests, and all different centerpiece containers! And that’s just the start of it…
HOW fun! Definitely makes you want to be there! When planning your wedding, don’t forget about your guests too- you all want to have fun together, so try adding in some fun elements! Thank you so much to Kate Byars for sharing this wedding with us!

I love the working vintage typewriter guest book. I’ve seen typewriters used as props, but this is the first working typewriter I’ve come across.
How fun! My favorite part is the carriage! The sign is amazing!
I super love the carriage and the bridesmaids’ shoes!
I love that carriage and the typewriter guest book is amazing! I can’t believe how unique and thoughtful that will be for everyone involved. Lovely!
Wow, how fun! I love all the details, but the shoes are truly spectacular! I agree with the other commenters, as well – the typewriter is a great touch!
